We live in a construction zone. I am sometimes ashamed of it. So when I saw the challenge, I started panicking. We don't have many mirrors in our house. And none that I can take outside. So I felt bad about not being able to take beautiful photos like the ones in the example.
So instead of being ashamed of my home and panicking about the challenge, I embraced it and shot a photo of our unfinished dining room. The walls and the ceiling need to be finished, there are a lot of tools in the room, we need to get new doors... etc...
My journal is about renovating our home. My boyfriends' dad is coming over to help us. He is mostly renovating our home, since that was his job before he retired.
@marijke Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. Yes, we are living there. My boyfriend bought the house in 2011. His father and him took the downstairs almost completely apart. Only the walls downstairs and the hallway were left. He had put in new floors, isolation, new windows, new front door. He also renovated all the rooms upstairs with new windows, isolation... Now upstairs is finished. And last year we renovated the bathroom, the stairs, we have now blinds. We just need to renovate the kitchen, the dining room, the living, the hallway and the backyard. So we're getting closer.
Great photo. It's like one of those reflection within a reflection within a reflection one. I moved into a work in progress in early November one year. I was sure we would have Christmas dinner in our renovated dining room that year...well, no. I ended up selling the house ten years later and that project was still undone. there were quite a few projects that were finished but not the dining room. It all takes time. Work on the priorities. Enjoy life while you work on the house.
@BLKinOR Thank you so much for your nice words and sharing your story. Yeah, it does take a lot of time. And sometimes it feels like we will never finish. But we're hanging in there.
Oh my friend this is stunning I really love the toned down colors and your clusters. The page design is perfect and that little wrench, so cute. Love your take on the mirror selfie too!
