Welcome, dear Tygo. A few months after the death of Bobby (who had turned 16 years old), we started to think again about taking another dog. We love to walk the dogs a lot, but Charly (10 years old) is sometimes uncomfortable and we thought that if we brought a puppy along he would walk with the puppy. So we started looking for a puppy here and there. It was still quite difficult, because apparently, thanks to Corona, we were not the only ones looking for a puppy. We registered with a breeder, but also checked the internet every now and then. Sometimes we saw a puppy that seemed appropriate to us, but we did not trust the breeder. We really wanted to be 100% sure that we would not end up with a bread breeder. And then we suddenly saw a picture of you. You looked super cute with that light brown spot on one eye. You were in a big nest with seven brothers and sisters. Several videos were placed on you-tube and we could see that your litter was with a very sweet family with children.

We responded immediately, but were afraid we were already too late, because we could see that several puppies had already been sold. But we were lucky, because there was 1 more and we were allowed to come and watch with 2 people. P. really wanted to come along and so he went one evening with dad to D. to go and watch. To be on the safe side, we also took the travel basket with us, because if you wanted to, we would like to take you with us. It would have been ideal if you could have stayed with your mother for 1 or 2 weeks longer, but now in Corona time, we actually wanted to limit extra visits and trips as much as possible.

When we came to visit, we immediately saw that it was all right. It was a nice family that had decided to take a litter as a distraction for the children in Corona time, so definitely not a bread breeder. And we were lucky because there was indeed only 1 puppy available. And there you were, super sweet and cute and really the biggest and fattest of the whole litter. We were all instantly in love, because of course we were immediately sent photos. We were told that you had had all your vaccinations and treatments and that you were microchipped. You were examined by a vet and declared completely healthy. And the best part was that we could take you home right away. You stayed for a while to say goodbye to your brothers, sisters and mom and we already heard that you were a very present dog, you liked to have fun and eat, as you could already see. You were already eating kibble, but you were still trying to drink from Mom.

And then it was time that you could go to your new house. You were put in your basket and really squeaked everything together. On the way home we got videos from you and it was sometimes hard to hear, you squeaked that much. P. stroked and hugged you and could hardly stop you. And then you came into our house. We could hear the squeaking live now and it was awful and for a few moments we thought: what have we gotten ourselves into. But you recovered very quickly, you wanted to hug and hug a lot. And how sweet and cute you were. You went from one to the other and loved it all. You were thirsty and immediately went to drink and of course eat. After a while we noticed that you were tired of all the impressions and we took you to your sleeping place. We adjusted to a restless night, but you went to sleep and we didn't hear you all night. Very early in the morning I went to have a look, because it is strange that you do not hear such a beep box all night, but you came to meet me so sweet and wagging, everything had gone well and you were so happy to see me.
