To record: my story and our family history, processing things that happened in the past and looking forward to the future. Corona already makes me so excited about recording our future vacations.
To play: I like to mess around with paper and elements, without putting rubbish everywhere. I once started like this. It is also handy that you can experiment and mess around and then undo everything.
To express: scraping helps me to express my deepest feelings. It may not always be clear to an outsider, but I myself know exactly what feelings are involved. It helps me to process these and to give them a place. Sometimes overwhelming feelings also cause me to block completely, but I now know that my sense of scraping always returns.
To learn: I love to learn and learn new things about art. Scraping has also made me appreciate and discover art much more. I like to scrap all kinds of styles and not do the same thing over and over again. That's how I also discovered the artsy style and more free style. Starting from scratch and seeing what happens is a very nice creative process.
