July-22-oh-what-fun

Description
As with all wars, there are times when the troops have 'fun'. I never met my Uncle, nor did his son who had his 1st birthday two months after his father's plane crashed into a mountain with all three killed. The box with remains was finally buried in Alexandria Cemetery in 1954. All in one small box.

@cookingmylife I hear you on the small photos. But they are a part of your family's history. I've got pics of my Uncle Ted on the beach in California, having fun while he was in the service. He was an infantryman, received four bronze battle stars. He was in the service for 4 years and 7 months. He deserved that fun time. But unlike your Uncle Joe, my Uncle Ted made it out alive... And I KNOW that your cousin Joe will love this photo.
