July-22-oh-what-fun

Description
As with all wars, there are times when the troops have 'fun'. I never met my Uncle, nor did his son who had his 1st birthday two months after his father's plane crashed into a mountain with all three killed. The box with remains was finally buried in Alexandria Cemetery in 1954. All in one small box.

Lovely layout and great vintage photo but a sad story of his death. Still, it's good to see some fun moments in his life during the war.

@mcurtt Your challenge has given me the urge to do some of these old small (2x3) photos. The back has writing in VERY small handwriting that I could hardly read. I plan to send the originals to my cousin Joe -he's 6 weeks younger than I am and I bossed him around a lot when we were little.
