This is the rigth side of my two-page layout created for Day 10 - Photos that Relate challenge. The left side is here
A little background info - it had been agreed - even before we got married - that once we do, my husband's sons from previous marriage would come to live with us the following school year. We didn't know it at the time, that transcontinental relocation was in the stars... so when four months after the wedding my husband was offered a position in Jakarta, we timed the relocation to early summer so that the boys could come with us and get used to the place a bit before the school starts. Those first few months were crucial to all of us becoming a family - the two of us and two teenagers, who missed their mom, friends, food and country and needed all the help and support we would give them to adjust to such a fundamental change in their life.
The photos also loosely - and bizzarely - relate to our present circumstances - 15 years later we are in exact same position - moving to Jakarta for the second time with two teenagers - for the second time. lol... you couldn't make this up!!!
What a really fabulous two-pager! It's crazy that history is repeating itself! What a great subject to choose for this challenge! I love how your pages turned out!
again, LOVE what you chose to scrap it about!!!!!!! wonderful; to learn more of your story, and the way you put these together, the colors and different ways, textures and pieces mixed together....the feel of the adventure (or the hard work in some cases!!!!!!) is all there!!!! wonderful!!!
Thank you so much for playing with us!!!
