What's new
So cute! I love the photo and the title is neat! I love the stitches down the side too! (AND! Your new Avie! Pretty!! Love that giggle!)

@BevG Awwwwwww! I love the browns and beiges that you used. Can I ask what kind of a dog you have? There are numerous layouts of mine in TLP gallery with our Australian red heeler/Jack Russell mix, but he passed away in June. Your dog reminds me so much of our baby, he had perky ears, similar coloring and lots of freckles and spots.

@BevG I ended up making a memory book for Jack a few months after he passed, and it has helped. There was no way I could even attempt to work on it in June when it happened. I ended up with a 36 page book and I even missed a few layouts so I printed them and added 4??? as tip-ins.We got him in May, 2004 and we were his 3rd owners. We were told he was 1 1/2 years old at the time, but the vet thought he was at least 4. So when he left us, he was either 13 1/2 or 16.

Anyway, you are going to be sorry you asked about layouts. Here are the ones in the LilyPad gallery. We miss our little guy, but I had seen your friend and her perky ears in a few layouts and I wanted to comment about the resemblance. When Jack was younger, he could jump from a standing position 4 or 5 feet. In fact, we had him at the kennel once & he jumped out of his cage (that had no top to it). Other than that, he got his work ethic from the heeler influence. He would run and try to heel us into position, clipping us with his body as we walked to keep us on the straight and narrow. :-)

These layouts are all of an aging doggie. When he was young, he had the complete brown mask on his face.

Ah - I loved them all! You are right. They could be brother and sister! And ours is named Jackie, so that works. He looks like he truly was a part of your family. Making the book must have been hard, but I am sure you are glad to have it so you can relive those memories of the good times.

And yes, our Jackie could jump too! It is the JRT trait. Her little legs are only about 6" long so she is shorter than our cat (and it looks like your Jack). Once I had the dinning room chairs blocking a doorway to keep her out. She got a running start and sailed right over the seats of them. She is 10 now (we think) and won't jump any more; she used to jump for cheese. She has mild arthritis in her joints.

@BevG Yes, brother and sister. That makes me smile. :-) I'm sure Jack would have loved a sister, but we were a one-doggie family. Now he has one.

Beautiful layout! I love the alternating dark and light paper strips lining each side of the page.
