We lost our little guy while we were on vacation, the day before our 42nd wedding anniversary. We are so sad...

Our sweet baby boy, this photo was taken of you on a Lake Michigan shoreline on the way up to Door County. We had no idea that you would leave us in just a few short days. On this beach, you waded into the water up to your belly, you enjoyed the lake, surprisingly, since you have never been a water dog. Maybe you suspected that the end was near, and you needed to experience the lake once in your lifetime? Over the last year, we knew you were slowing down, you were aging, but gracefully. You were a trouper, not wanting to miss out on any adventures. You wouldn’t want us to be sad, but it is harder that we could even imagine possible. We cut our vacation in half, bringing your lifeless body back home. No, we will not say goodbye, we will never say goodbye. We love you. You will be in our hearts forever.
