love the mismatched circle, the story is heart warming, I think there is this moment for all of us when our loved ones ask you to find a book, so that they could relive the moments of some particular trip or event. Love the mixed media feel to your page.

We were thinking similarly about template this morning! I swear I didn't see your layout until I was posting mine. I love the messy newsprint look of yours! Gosh, we even have very similar reasons for scrapping! I have similar conversations with my family about being able to look up precise info about past events.
