I started out scrapbooking in 2006 when a friend invited me to a Creative Memories scrapbook event. I quickly fell in love with it as it was a way to let my creativity out. I have been an artist all my life but had kinda stalled out after having my two girls and becoming a full time SAHM. So I would say I started scrapbooking for specifically memory keeping.
Two years later I discovered digital scrapbooking and really loved it because it could accomplish so much more of what I wanted to get down on paper. I soon became frustrated with the designs that were out there and knew I wanted to design my own products. This started me on the path of becoming a designer. So this next part of my journey I would say took more of a creative or artistic reason to scrapbook.
I've been designing for 11 years now and have really dived into the art journal and digital art part of scrapbooking. I love being able to express myself through art and get down on paper some of the things that I see in my head and my heart.
I would say I scrap for preserving memories and reliving events in my life and also used it as a way to express my creativity through designing as well as creating my own art journal and artsy pages. I always knew I would do something creative with my life I just never thought it would be through digital art!
