Family's not always related. The journaling talks about how we met these (then) kids in 1998, when we first moved to Florida. They started out as DD Steph's friends but became part of our family. They hung out at our house a lot and were welcomed anytime. We recently all got together again and it's always just like old times! (The pictures are perfect, because we were in a dark bar, at night, but I really wanted to use them.)
Beautiful and fun page Cheryl! I love the photos and how neat that you all still stay in touch and get together. It is nice to have friends as close as family to get together with when you live away from real family. I was glad when Dad lived in Florida he had the same thing. Great page and composition. Thanks for joining in on the journaling challenge!
@cfile Thanks so much, Christa. I'm sure you remember how a lot of transplants were drawn together as "families" in Florida. We always had "open house" and every holiday was "if you don't have anyplace to go, you're welcome at our house".
