what a priceless experience Marilyn! love the big photo and perspective, feels like i'm right there and you can feel that small village vibe already - fabulous use of word art with the big photo design!
@bellbird Thanks Justine. When Anne posted this week's AJ 'challenge, I knew I which directional sign I was going to use. And yes, I've got another pic of me standing next to it. I loved journaling on my page (this time), the words just flowed. Maybe not the most eloquent, but from the heart.
Oh wow! what amazing journaling! I remember when my older sister and I went to visit a town called Kassell in Germany on our overseas holiday in 2012. My sister was born there and while the hospital is long gone, as we walked the quiet streets we wondered whether our Mum had walked the same paths. Your page is just so stunning in your page design, fantastic photo and beautiful sentiments expressed as well! Wonderful wordart as well!
This is so wonderful, Marilyn!! Who would have ever dreamed, back then, that you'd be standing right there? What an amazing moment that must have been. You've documented the event SO beautifully!!! I love your journaling and all of the word art you added.
Terrific story and layout. Being a genealogist myself, I can imagine the emotions as I have experienced some of the same ones. I love the curving line in the road which leads the eye and how you placed your journaling on top of it. And then there are all those perfect little embellishments of word art, sign, flair, heart and flower which reinforce the theme and make it so special.
