The Lily Pad is more than a digital scrapbook store. It is a community of people from all over the world. The forums are full of challenges and new techniques to try. There is also a side forum called Fit Pad. This is a small but very active group of scrappers that are pressing in to be healthy and fit.
A few months ago, one of the members mentioned, we should have some accountability to our monthly thread. A type of motivator of some what to help us keep our goals in mind and rejoice over achieving them. This Polly, thought about it for a while and came up with a fun challenge that you can jump into at any time. There is not a date to do it by, but it is rather fun!
The official start of the Accountability is March 6, and I try and keep that date(the 6th) as when to recommit yourself monthly to your goals. The first page is to start. A selfie of you, and your goals along with an empty space for your photo of one month from now, or 6 months from now. This is very relaxed challenge. It is as challenging as YOU want to make it.

In April, we concentrated on goals accomplished and things we wanted to try or change up. This did not need to be weight focused, but more lifestyle changes to help you become more FIT! I started riding my bike and loving it! My goal was to run a 5k at the end of the month.
May is here, and the 5K didn’t happen due to scheduling difficulties (soccer and hubby out of town), but I did do a few 13 mile bike rides! I have also been shrinking! My waist is now 13 inches less than when I started this journey February 2018! I bought a bathing suit and it was a size 14! Last year I was wearing a size 24! I’m now riding my bike 14 miles or more 3 times a week. I live in the foothills of the high desert, so it is very hilly! Lots of ups and oh lovely downs! It was a crazy start,but I have a dear friend who has done a triathlon and she usually goes with me!
This month the focus is on WHAT? WHAT are you doing get healthy! Here is my page to inspire about my first two bike rides. Hilarious, my friend Miss Phebe, I blasted by her on the beginning on an 8 mile ride. We did a 15 mile ride a few days later and I kept that pace, oh goodness, I was dying and my friend passed me. I couldn’t even take a photo, I was sucking air so hard. So the what I am doing is CYCLING!
I would love to have you join us, just start with us anytime and be encouraged by the others also. It is way easier to get healthy with a group!
