Last week, I shared with all of you how I was prepping for DYD. I had already started working on some foundation pages, I even shared them on the title card for my blog post. Following that post, though…my creativity seemed to hit a wall. Whenever I tried to work on the pages, I felt myself staring blankly at the screen. I didn’t know what to do next.
In an attempt to jump-start my creativity, I browsed the gallery for DYD. There is so much goodness in the gallery! I started to feel my creativity creep back, but as I looked more, I started to question if the problem that I was having was that the style I was trying wasn’t working for me. A question came to mind…should I scrap everything I have and start over?
I struggled with this question for a while. I even posted in the forums about it. Should I start over? In the end, I decided to scrap what I had and start over. This experience brought up some important ideas about scrapping for me. Mainly two questions:
- When do you decide that what you’re working on isn’t working?
- Do you scrap it and start over?
I am so interested to hear your thoughts. Please share in the comments below!
