December Challenges {2011}

Happy Monday everyone!  It’s Karen here to tell you about the new round of challenges just added this week in the forum for the month of December.  There are 7 new challenges this month and as usual the more challenges you complete, the bigger coupon you earn!  2 challenges = 10%off, 4 challenges = 20% off and 6 challenges = 30% off!  On top of those fabulous rewards, if you finish all 7 challenges you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Creative Team.  That means you could be a Polly for a month!  So onto this month’s challenges.

1.  Formula Challenge –  This challenge is hosted by Julie (mrs2a50) and requires you to use 12 elements on your LO in the spirit of the 12 days of Christmas.  An alpha counts as one element and you must list your 12 items to get credit.  Post your LOs in the Formula Challenge Gallery.  Here is a sample page by Julie:

2.  Template Challenge –  The Template challenge is hosted by Dana this month and the free template was once again made by Amy Martin.  You can find the free template in the store HERE and once you finish your page, post it in the Template Challenge Gallery.   Here is a preview of the template for this month:

3.  Journaling Challenge –  This month’s journaling challenge, hosted by Heather (talktoheather), is perfect for this time of year… create a page about a favorite recipe.  Your page doesn’t have to include your recipe… but if it’s a good one we’re probably going to be asking for it in the forum at least.  Post your finished pages in the Journaling Challenge Gallery.  Here is a sample page by Heather to get you started:

4.  Scraplift Challenge – Amanda (MandaKay) is hosting this month’s scraplift challenge.  For December we will be lifting any page in Kimpson’s fabulous gallery HERE.  Post your finished LOs in the Scraplift Challenge Gallery.  Here is the page Amanda lifted and then her lifted page:

5.  Product Challenge – Amanda (gracielou) took a fun twist on this month’s Product Challenge.  She’s letting you pick what your favorite product is and then scrap a page using that product.  Finished pages should be posted in the Product Challenge Gallery.  Here is a sample page by Amanda using her favorite product:  Paint!

6.  One Word Challenge –  The one word to use for this month’s One Word Challenge is Together.  Finished LOs should be posted in the One Word Challenge Gallery.  Heather (HeatherB) is hosting this challenge and created this fabulous page to get you started:

7.  BYOC Challenge – this last challenge isn’t posted yet as the BYOC won’t be released until Friday (December 9th) but the rules for this challenge are the same as prior months.  Create a page using this month’s BYOC products from at least 3 designers.  Your page must contain at least 90% BYOC products.  When you see the products for this month’s BYOC, I think you’ll agree this is a super easy challenge!

The best part of the challenges at TLP is that you have the whole month to complete them!  A few notes to remember while doing pages for these challenges… Your pages must contain 75% TLP products and you must do a unique page for each challenge.  Do not combine one page for two challenges.  Once you complete your page, be sure to post it in the appropriate gallery and then back in the challenge thread too so we can leave you some love!  We also ask that you post all of your complete challenge pages in the THIS THREAD so we make sure to get you the correct coupon at the end of the month.  If you have any other questions about the challenges, see the Challenge Guidelines thread HERE!  Have fun!
