Greetings, Happy Pad Scrappers!Polly Liana here, to highlight our monthly collection of beautiful art journaling products called Mixed Media Monthly, or "M3." I chose to be the one to introduce this fab collection each month because art journaling has always been something that I've admired from afar but never thought I'd actually try. There are some very talented folks at the Pad who can dream up the most lovely creations using mixed media and I've always been inspired by their work. If, like me you're interested in dabbling in mixed media, or if you've been creating it for years, this collection is for you. Each month, some of our most talented mixed media designers collaborate on a main kit and several coordinated add-ons that can be used together to easily create art journaling that can even make someone like me look like I (kind of) know what I'm doing. Y'all have some great questions, so let's get right too it. The first question comes from Kristina. She writes, "how do you organize your pocket cards?! There are sooooooo many. I couldn't ever use them all, and mostly forget I have them. (I'm not a pocket scrapper.) But i just joined the planner craze, and I know pocket cards would fit inside my planner perfectly, to aid in note taking, list making, memory keeping, and prettying... so how do I keep them straight?!"Girl, if I haven't arranged my pocket cards once, I've arranged them a thousand times! I always seem to think of a way that will better suit my scrapbooking needs. The program I use lets me tag things, so I usually tag my cards in one of the … [Read more...]
Mobile Highlights – October 2015
Earlier this month, I shared here on the blog some of the big hashtags that are associated with The Lilypad. The real reason for sharing those with you, was so that we can bring back Mobile Highlights. I've spent some time checking out what you're posting on Instagram this month, and these are the things that are really standing out to me!I absolutely LOVE how the Halloween Mats by Forever Joy are used here. The tone on tone look helps the photo and elements stand out, but the paper mat adds a lot of visual interest. Here are those Halloween Mats again, but what really stands out to me here is the title work. The vellum "You" has an almost ghostly look to it, and the flair with the boy picture is a nice addition. On this pocket style page, I loved how the elements expanded over the "pockets" of the page and off the edge of the page itself. It helps give a very … [Read more...]
