July Challenges
Hello everyone! It’s Polly Karen back again with a look at our new batch of monthly challenges for July. Each month we have 8 brand new challenges that are posted in the forum Challenge Pad on the 1st day of the month. (the BYOC Challenge is posted on the 1st Friday of the month.) You can use the challenges simply to inspire you to keep creating new layouts OR you can also earn yourself a fabulous coupon for your next shopping trip in the Lilypad Store. (2 challenges = 10%, 4 challenges = 20% and 6 challenges = 30%). Those who complete at least 7 challenges will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift certificate! Isn’t that an awesome prize?!?! You’ll get lots of great memories captured in your scrapbooks AND you could win a fat gift certificate prize!!! Pretty great, right?! So let’s take a look at this month’s new batch of challenges!
1. Scraplift Challenge – Heather (HeatherB) is hosting the Scraplift Challenge for this month and she has to decided to challenge you to look through the two most recent Froggy Favorites threads in the forum and scraplift a layout from there. Simply take a look at either the May Froggy Favorites or the June Froggy Favorites and find a layout you love, then create a layout inspired by it. Here is a look at a layout that Heather picked, followed by her scraplifted version:
2. Template Challenge – The Template Challenge for July is being hosted by Courtney (bestcee). All you have to do to play along is download the free template made by Gina Miller and then create a layout using that fun template. Here’s a look at the free template followed by a sample layout that Courtney made using it:
3. Photography Challenge – The next challenge is the Photography Challenge which is being hosted by Lori (lcpereyra) this month. Lori is challenging you to get yourself in front of the camera this month! Set up your tripod and bust out the timer or just grab a selfie, as long as you are in the photo. Here’s a great sample layout created by Lori:
4. Random Challenge – The Random Challenge for July is being hosted by Ashley (ashleywb), who wants to challenge you to create a layout in honor of the Olympic Games and use gold, silver and/or bronze in your layout. Here’s a fun page Ashley created for this challenge:
5. Style Challenge – The Style Challenge for this month is being hosted by Jenn (jk703) and she is challenging you to dig into your creative style this month. She found a quiz online called My Creative Type. Jenn would like you to take this fun little quiz and then create a layout about your Creative Type. Here’s a fun page she creative about her quiz results:
6. Inspiration Challenge – The Inspiration Challenge for July is being hosted by Kayla (keepscrappin) and she would like you to take a look at your own photos to draw inspiration for your layout. Kayla was inspired by the flag in her gorgeous sample layout:
7. Journaling Challenge – The Journaling Challenge for July is being hosted by Natasha (bcnatty). Natasha is challenging you to created a layout about something you are looking forward to. Natasha created this fabulous layout about an amazing upcoming vacation she is planning.
8. BYOC Challenge – Finally we have the BYOC Challenge. This challenge will be hosted and posted by Christa (cfile) on Friday, July 5th, when the BYOC Collection for July will be released in the store. The challenge will be to use 90% of the products on your page from this month’s BYOC collection and from at least 3 designers.

There is your quick peek at this month’s brand new batch of challenges. Once you create your own layouts inspired by these challenges, be sure to post them to the appropriate galleries as listed above.
