BEHIND THE LENS!
Happy Wednesday! Ahhh, what a great feeling eh, to be half done your work week?! It is almost as exciting to me as being a GUEST POLLY this month!! Naaaa, not really, nothing compares to the fun I’m having at TLP!! Eeeekkkk!! So excited!!!!! It’s Patti here with a little ‘fun’ something, so if you haven’t done so, run and grab that morning coffee, sit back and enjoy!
As someone who has always had to watch EVERYTHING I eat since I can remember, and is not thin and trim, I’ve avoided being in pictures and taking self portraits like the plague. I think we’ve all been there at some point – maybe not necessarily about weight but perhaps something physical that we aren’t comfortable about. With a new year, I decided my children and family deserved more than that. What reminders would they have of thier Mom if something suddenly happened to me? As a scrapbooker, I was slightly ashamed and vowed to rectify the situation. Jan 1st, I dug out my camera and began taking snap shots of myself. Trust me, I had LOTS of retakes and not so flattering photos that will never be seen by anyone, ever! Thank goodness for the invention of digital – “DELETE”. After what must have been a hundred pictures, I hit the jackpot with a couple that I could ‘live with’ in public! LOL!!
My message is this: Come out from BEHIND THE LENS! Laugh at yourself, have fun and have that beautiful face ‘in the picture’. Trust me, I was amazed at how certain poses can flatter and bring out your unique and beautiful “YOU” that you won’t mind sharing with others! Share your life with your loved ones – pictures and words. I know they will cherish it many years from now. I can attest that it really isn’t painful! So grab your camera and link me up to those new photos, layouts and words.
I’ve shared a layout using my ‘newest’ ME photo! Thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to stop by the shop and check out the SOSN category! There are lotsa cool goodies!! Ciao!!
