September Challenges

Hello there! Polly Karen here and it’s another brand new month and that means another batch of challenges here! This year we added one more challenge each month to give you more opportunities for creating pages! Now instead of 7 monthly challenges, we’ve added an eighth challenge. You do not have to complete all 8 challenges in order to have a change to win a guest spot on the creative team either, we added another one for those who have requested more challenges and you still only have to complete 7 of them to be considered for a guest spot on the creative team! You can choose one to skip if you want! So, mostly everything remains the same. You complete challenges in order to earn a coupon of your next purchase in the store (2 challenges = 10%, 4 challenges = 20% and 6 challenges = 30%) AND everyone who completes at least 7 challenges will be considered for a one month guest spot on the creative team (The Pollys). So let’s take a look at this month’s new batch of challenges!
1. Template Challenge – Renee (renee82) is hosting the Template Challenge for September. The challenge is to use the free template supplied by Just Jaimee and create a layout using it. Here’s a look at the free template followed by a perfect example created by Renee:

2. BYOC Challenge – Heather (HeatherB) is hosting this month’s BYOC Challenge. This challenge is to use 90% of the products on your page from the current BYOC collection and from at least 3 designers. Here is a great BYOC layout created by Heather:
3. Inspiration Challenge – The Inspiration Challenge for September is hosted by Amanda (MandaKay) and she is plucking this inspiration from the huge planner trend going on right now. Amanda wants you to create a layout inspired by all of the amazing planner kits in the shop. Here’s a sample layout created by Amanda:
4. Style Challenge – Julie (mrs2a50) is hosting the Style Challenge for September. Since Julie has absolutely perfected her style into a very recognizable layout every time, I LOVE that she has chosen to challenge you AND herself to try an art journaling style layout. Check out this gorgeous layout that she created:

5. Journaling Challenge – September’s Journaling Challenge is being hosted by the fabulous Anne (AnneofAlamo). Anne is challenging you to create a journaling layout… with no photos on your page! She wants you to journal about a motto, punchline, a phrase or words that you or your family use often. Here’s a super fun page created by Anne:
6. Scraplift Challenge – Heather (talktoheather) is host of September’s Scraplift Challenge and she has selected our very own challenge guru Julie (mrs2a50) and the member to scraplift this month. Simply pick a layout from Julie’s gallery and then create your own layout inspired by her layout. Here is a layout made by Heather followed by the original layout by Julie:
7. Photography Challenge – This month’s Photography Challenge is hosted by Lori (lcpereyra). Lori is challenging you to take a photo outside during the golden hour (the time right before and after a sunrise or sunset). Here is a beautiful layout created by Lori with her “golden hour” photo:

8. Random Challenge – Finally we have the Random Challenge for the month hosted by Ashley (ashleywb). Ashley has cooked up a fun recipe challenge for this month:

and here is a fabulous layout that Ashley created using her own recipe:

Challenge Galleries: (post your pages to these galleries)
Another month and another 8 great new challenges to keep you busy scrapping. Once you create your own layouts inspired by these challenges, be sure to post them to the appropriate galleries as listed above. Then be sure to also post them to the appropriate thread in the challenge forum. See the thread HERE for further challenge guidelines and see the September Challenge Pad HERE to get started! Don’t forget to post all of your completed layouts in the Challenge Layouts thread so we can be sure to get you the proper coupon at the end of the month. I’ll be back near the end of the month to shine the spotlight on some of the pages created for these challenges! I can’t wait to see what you come up with! Happy scrapping!
