Greetings everyone! For this month's inspiration challenge I chose something that has totally made me swoon in my Pinterest feed, my Instagram feed, and here at The-Lilypad! It is also something that I, realistically, will never get into! What do I speak of you ask?! I am totally and utterly inspired by all the PLANNER craze that is happening right now! I totally want to go out and spend $200 on a planner and a bunch of supplies, but low and behold, I stop myself because I know that I just will not stick with it for a number of reasons. While I know that this is not something I could get into in a tangible, hands on way, I knew I wanted to use the parts I love about my favorite planner pages and do a scrapbook layout! And The-Lilypad has some awesome planner kits in the shop too! If you are looking for a bit of planner inspiration, I have made a little planner envy pinterest board here! So the challenge is to be inspired by a planner page, one of your favorite planner scrapper/IRL planner, and create a scrapbook LO out of that inspiration. I should somewhat be able to tell as I look thru our inspiration gallery that the LOs have the general feel of a planner! Think washi tape, handwriting bits all over, something maybe specific to a month of week, etc...Hope that makes sense! Here is an idea of how I was inspired: Please remember the monthly challenge rules: Your page must contain at least 75% Lilypad product. Your page should be posted to the Lilypad Gallery and then linked to the Challenge Layouts thread so it can be tracked, and to this thread. The Lilypad uses a percent system for our challenges; the number of challenges you participate in determines the store discount you will receive at the end of the month: 2 challenges = 10% off 4 challenges = 20% off 6 challenges = 30% off If you complete 7 challenges, you will receive a coupon for 30% off, plus you will be entered to win a guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! The first seven challenges will be posted on the first of the month; the eighth challenge is the BYOC challenge, which is posted on BYOC release day. Each page counts for one challenge (you cannot use one layout for multiple challenges).
I'm the same way. Love the look of those planners, but I use my phone - and only my phone - to plan my life. This should be a fun way to visually document the craziness!! LOL
Oh this was so funny. Every month I make a "reminder" digital page of the challenges, so I remember them. It really does look like the page on top,it is my original.... then today yours was the last challenge I looked at when I made the notes, and when I saw the subject, well LOL how could I make anything else ?
I'm so with you! I too love the look and the idea, but it would just never stick for me . . . I used the design framework of a planner page to create a layout focused on plans to remodel our kitchen.
I am another one that loves the idea but I never would use it I did one for my garden activities this week. WHY???!!! is it that as soon as I post the layout here I see spelling mistakes!!! after reading it umpteen times!!!
