Designer Spotlight – Designs by Lili

Hello! It’s Friday, spotlight day! Today we are showcasing Lili’s work. Lili has been around as a designer for almost as long as I’ve been a scrapper and I’ve had the honor of following her (and even creating for her occasionally) since her not-so-humble beginnings (she was fabulous from Day 1). She has quite a fanbase and we were all very excited to find out she would be joining us here at The Lilypad!

Today Lili is releasing a new installment on the Make Your Own Alpha series. If you don’t know the previous ones, you should! They are very versatile, you can match them with any kit you’re using:

Lili’s kits are always filled with cute elements and yummy patterned papers. Like this one, look at the blue paper with clouds… love it!

Once in a while she collabs with someone equally amazing and the results are fabulous. This Christmas kit, made with Gina Miller, is adorable!

Lili also makes great templates. Look for the ScrapBox series in her store, they are so cool!

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
