Designer Spotlight-Kaye Winiecki

T.G.I.F!! I am so excited to be posting my first designer spotlight and I am showcasing the amazing Kaye Winiecki. Who doesn’t absolutely adore Kaye’s designs. She has something for everyone. She does felt like its never been done before and the colors she uses are always perfection! Kaye not only happens to be one of my favorite designers ever she also happens to be one of my favorite scrappers. Her clustering is so brilliant and her use of white space divine! You can drool over her abundantly AMAZING pages right HERE. Kaye also has the best staples. I could seriously dig in my Kaye scrap stash and find something appropriate to adorn my pages with every single time. She just takes creative to a whole nother level!

Having two little girls myself this just makes me all warm and fuzzy! How sweet is the felt baby pram!

Can I just say I am not a huge template girl and yet her templates always call to me! I can’t think of a better way to crawl out of the scrap funk I seem to be in right now! I may just get right on that!

Did I mention how fab Kaye’s staples are. She does the most amazing papers ever! Trust me!

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
