Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  Peppermint here, and we’re back again this Tuesday with a bunch of killer $1 deals in the store and a new Tuesday challenge (and the two actually coordinate well together this week, which I’d like to say that I planned but it’s actually a lucky coincidence).  You’re going to want to hop on these steals in the store.  They’re $1 for today only.

And now on to our challenge for this week for a chance to win a $5 gift certificate to the store!

Last week we did monochromatic colors, and now this week I’m wearing my schizophrenia on my sleeve for everyone to see because I’m taking you in the complete opposite direction.  On your layout this week I want you to represent all six colors of the rainbow individually through your paper, element and photo choices.  So you won’t get off easy simply by putting a rainbow element somewhere on your page!  As luck would have it the $1 deals this week are all chock full of rainbow goodness.

The only other requirement is that you have to use at least 75% of LilyPad goodies on your page. Post your layouts to the Lilypad Challenge Gallery and then post your gallery link in the comments section of the blog. Just a gentle reminder that direct links to any non-TLP product are not allowed in the gallery, and any layout that doesn’t conform to the rules of the challenge will be removed. 🙂

I’m a creative who pulls inspiration from all corners of life—both the joyful highs and the real-life moments that punch you in the gut. Honestly, I don’t think I can pin down a single scrapbooking style for myself, so let’s just go with eclectic. My layouts really depend on my mindset. If I’m in a deep, cerebral mood, you’ll likely see something chaotic and messy. If I’m more relaxed, it tends to come out clean, simple, and structured.

My brain is usually running on several channels at once, so it’s completely normal for me to be working on a digital layout, dabbling in a hybrid project, and getting messy with art journaling or mixed media—all at the same time.

Here are a few of my go-to tools: Digital: Adobe Photoshop CC + my MacBook; Photos: Canon Rebel or iPhone; Hybrid: Cricut Joy + sewing machine; Art Journaling: watercolors, stencils, and artsticks

And when it comes to embellishments—digital or physical—I’m always reaching for messy threads, ribbons, and Polaroids. Always the Polaroids.
