June Challenges
Happy June everyone! It’s Polly Karen here bringing you a look at all of the new challenges that were posted to the forum on June 1st. Based on our percentage system, you can earn three levels of coupons for the store just by participating in our challenges. In addition to the coupon, if you complete all 7 challenges within the month of June, you will be entered in a drawing to win a one month guest spot on the Lilypad Creative Team! This month we are once again offering TWO guest spots. The discounts available are as follows: 2 challenges = 10% off, 4 challenges = 20% off and 6 challenges = 30% off. Now let’s take a look at the new challenges:
1. Template Challenge – It’s Heathers all around for this month’s template challenge. The free template for you to use is supplied by the lovely Heather Joyce (talktoheather) and is available HERE and shown below. Heather (HeatherB) is hosting this challenge and created the fabulous sample LO also shown below:
2. One Word Challenge – Julie (mrs2a50) is hosting the One Word Challenge for June. She is taking it super easy on you and letting YOU pick your One Word. You must use a word that perfectly describes your pages subject and you must use that word in the title and in the journaling. Here is a sample created by Julie:
3. Product Challenge – I (Karen) am so excited that I get to host this month’s Product Challenge. I picked hand painted words/alphas/titles for the product to play with. I listed some product from the store in the forum to give you a few ideas. I also created this layout to get you started:
4. Journaling Challenge – The multi-talented Heather (talktoheather) is also hosting June’s Journaling Challenge. Heather wants you to create a layout with journaling about what makes (made) you giggle recently. Here is a super cute page about her silly dog trying to eat the vacuum cleaner:
5. Scraplift Challenge – Amanda (MandaKay) is the hostess with the most-est that is hosting our June Scraplift Challenge. Amanda has selected the ever talented Liahra as the scrapper to scraplift. Take a look at Liahra’s gorgeous gallery and pick a page that you love and create a new page inspired by her page. The following is the page that Amanda picked and then her scraplifted version is below that:
6. Random Challenge – To celebrate summer coming for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, Renee (renee82) has chosen to do a summer formula challenge for this month’s Random Challenge. Renee wants you to use 1 summer photo, at least 2 patterned papers and 1 title, word art or word strip on your layout. Here is a sample layout created by Renee:
7. BYOC Challenge – June’s BYOC Challenge will be posted to the forum on Friday, June 6th when the brand new June BYOC Collection is released to the store. The challenge is to use 90% of the products on your page from the current BYOC collection and from at least 3 designers.
