What's a Home Skillet??

my daughter and I had laughed at this thread last week. she was coming down the hall yesterday, and I said, hey whats up home skillet?? ..she tossed me a gang sign (actually sign language P-for our last name) and said Whats up? my husband did a double take and said, what the?? it was hilarious!
 
LMAO! I thought is it was a breakfast food too. Yay! I learned some new lingo today; I'll have to use it on my 18 year old today and see what kind of response I get from her. :-)

I read the flashed a gang sign (which is exactly how this would play out with me as you and my teen as your daughter..) and when you said the sign language P, for some reason, my hand felt the need to throw it with her. So somewhere in Minnesota, your 'gang' name was evoked. P-side represent!!!

Whahaha a skillet is a frying pan in my language. I would have never guessed it be a word for friend.
 
@berniek skillet is another word for a fying pan in English too. Or, at a restaurant you can buy a "skillet breakfast" (eggs, bacon, hashbrowns...)

@AnneofAlamo My husband and kids are "Feldsteins". The "F" in sign language is also the general hand sign for "OK". Not very gangsta.
