How do you handle waiting?

For me, I usually scrap, play games on my phone, read articles, or futz around on the internet. I'm having a bit of a tough time waiting for the new laptop - I just want it here already! I think it comes Monday.

I've been playing games and reading a little... but now bored of the games. Got any new ones I should try? I plan to head off to the gallery later after work, but thought I might ask to see what you all do!

Ahhh!! I can totally understand that - waiting for new gadgets is always tough! What games do you like to play?

I would bide my time by reading or scrapping. Those two things seem to have taken my focus lately! Or you could watch some creative/technique videos on YouTube? Or do you have any online classes you've signed up for but haven't dug into much? Could be a good time for that!

When my computer is out of commission, I clean/organize the house. I know, I know: booooorrrrrrring lol. But I find that I get a lot done cuz I want time to pass quickly. Plus, once I get back on my laptop, then I'll be busybusybusy on it and I won't want to pick up. :)
As for games, I really like Dabble. It's a word scramble game.
Good luck waiting until the Monday!!!

lol! I'm not cleaning! Honestly, my house is as neat as it can get... it's clean enough. :P Seriously, my friends laugh when I say I'm cleaning. To them, it's always clean. :giggle

I will look for Dabble!

I love word games, puzzle games, casino games, actually... pry most any game!

How funny.... I think I had Dabble at some point. I remember it! @Tree City
You might like Languinis, Hexiled, Lettermash, Monkey Wrench, Word Dingo, Snap Attack, Word Brain, and Wordament, if you like word games, lol!

I clean watch Netflix shows or play games on my Kindle. had never heard of some of those Jenn! Love word games and just downloaded Monkey Wrench. It looks like fun! Thanks!

All you people who clean.... ick. :giggle

I'm one of those that kind of keep up with everything, so I don't have to clean, if that makes sense. When we do bigger cleans, I get all the boys involved!

I'm like you Jenn, no way am spending waiting time cleaning! :) I usually read or watch Netflix or YouTube.

I'm excited to hear what you think of your laptop when you get it!!!!

What did you end up going with?

Netflix definitely, Blacklist is awesome! I study a lot (lol!) work on my photography and sleep. The latter isn't the best option though... lol.

Go shopping!! I love going to shops like Home Goods, Barnes & Nobles to look at magazines.

Scrap, watch TV, read, cross stitch, watch YouTube videos . . . I only have one "game" and it's a word search. Boring. Other than that, I don't have any games I play regularly.

I clean house and read when I can. I don't wait well. When I ordered my new laptop in January, I spent some of the waiting time organizing files and making sure everything was ready to go to set up the new one quickly.

I love Monkey Wrench! I also like 7 little Words (same company). And I do Logic puzzles - you know the ones that have the squares to fill out to find the answer? Yep, I'm odd. - I have 3 of those apps. And Word Twist.

And now I'm going to check out the rest of your list!

My house is clean, but it's not perfect. (I mean, I've still got young kids so they're home all day and too young to do all their own cleaning--although they're getting pretty good about picking up after themselves!) Unfortunately, neither DH nor I likes to dust, so that's a chore I'll tackle when I'm waiting. Like, I'll dust our six-panel doors, base boards, and our chair rails and decorative molding. I most definitely don't get those done with my daily/weekly cleaning, for sure. And I'll empty the trap in my washer. I find DH's collar stays. *sigh* Or I'll rearrange furniture and then vacuum where pieces used to be. That makes me feel accomplished plus I like changing up rooms. :) Sometimes just changing out my few decor items makes me happy and it can take a chunk of time. But that's more organizing than cleaning, huh?

But you've got a long wait and a clean house, so I second The Blacklist on Netflix if little ears/eyes aren't watching too. I binged it over summer 2015 and caught up just in time to start watching it as it aired. Oh, and after I binged that, I watched Person of Interest, which I loved! That took me a long time cuz I can only watch a bit of an episode at a time (those darn little ears at home get in the way of my TV lol!). And just this week I finished Republic of Doyle. LOVED IT. And I'm slowly watching My Name Is Earl. It's so darn funny!

Anyway, those are my Netflix recs. I'm now off to look up some of those apps. I don't keep many on my phone (gotta save space for pics!) but I wouldn't mind trying a few. Or what about going through closets for a purge? I just went through DS's but I gotta go through DD's.

I tend to browse on my ipad or watch shows on my laptop. I also have an online magazine subscription so will browse thru the mags as I watch shows.

I read or play games on my iPad (Hidden City, Suduko, Mahjong, Sim City). I will only clean if I'm feeling guilty about having a messy house!

I've been transferring pictures, albums, styles, fonts, etc. and making sure all is backed up! I've been playing another game I found - Word Cookies.... It's starts slow, but it's cute, and gets better (after a while, lol).

I might try to scrap a page, it's so hard not to!

@Tree City I hate dusting.... that has become my youngest's chore, and he doesn't mind. Slowly, I'm showing him all the spots and how to do it right! :giggle

All the cleaning going on in here! Please come and help me clean and tidy up for my birthday on Thursday. I am not a cleaner. It's not yuck in here, but it could definitely use some serious dusting and such.

Anyway, I have recently rediscovered the Sims. I play the Sims 4 and I also watch Sims videos on YouTube. It's silly, but I really enjoy mindlessly watching other people play this game. I am currently 1/3 in into the Rags to Riches - The Sims 4 Get Together playlist and I am enjoying it. They start off as homeless people with no money whatsoever and the goal is to become super rich. It's fun. It's stupid too though. This could have been a guilty pleasure to scrap for the challenge, but I have already done one.
