Underwear

Hee hee. Wouldn't that be great?

When she was little, my DD's favorite word for underwear was... undercundunderwear. She'd say it then burst out laughing.

I hate 'em, underclothes...and clothes in general, if I didn't have to look at other nekid peeps, I would outlaw clothes in general! bhahhahah I am a closet Nudist! bhahahha
but I am a granny undie wearing momma...
built for comfort not for speed!

Ha ha Anne - Those look like the Costco undies I have! Yes, after 2 babies and old age, we need those big girl panties to hold everything in place. I would buy crazy colors but Costco only has the boring neutrals. I do have to have 100% cotton. I need to expand my undie shopping as I would love some colors.

Bras are a pain. Let's see got a cup size for each bio kid, plus one in old age - so yeah, they hang low. I do own some of those stretchy one piece comfy ones (I think they sold on TV as sleep bras). They are great under big t-shirts and for days when you don't want to deal with straps sliding down.

Funny story -- so growing up my initials were BAR, which if you make the traditional monogram with the last name one in the middle ---> BRA. So when I got married, I did not want to be a BAG, so now I am a BRG.

Yes, those, are there any other kind!

My underwear is cotton. Bikinis not grandma, but still must be cotton. Most of my clothes are natural fibers as well, but totally important for socks or undies. I can't stand padded bras, - don't need any extra... but also must be cotton. Not easy to find but if I do find some funky patterns or colors I snatch em up just for fun.

my gift to myself when i got my ged at age 48, was inplants
now no go anywhere, so no bra
white cotton bikini's. as we don't do any light color loads of laundry

Ha! I had to look! Mine are purple today. I usually buy a big pack of 6 or 9, the cheapest I can find. Because who really sees them anyway. I do need some new bras soon, maybe before my next vacation.

My bras are usually colored and oddly have a lacy overlay... I have a bit of a large chest that needs special sized bras. I tend to get them quickly from Cacique. Undies are usually various colors, but mostly cotton, for comfort and mostly bikini. :)

Oh... and I don't think the colors improve my mood. I think if they are uncomfortable, they then might make me a little more irritated! :giggle

such an interesting and hilarious post!

I have an inverse sternum, good cleavage (which is good as my breasts are fairly little!) but I cannot wear underwire bras as they poke in all over the place. It's bad when your bra style is dictated by your doctor... So lots of no wire sports bra's - mainly black and white although I do have a purple one I love. I also like padded bras as well, need the help!

Undies are mostly black and cotton and bikini style - g strings puzzle me, how on earth are they not the worst? Have a few lacy ones but they don't seem to be as comfortable.

I just made a comment about this yesterday to @Lena Gardner of Bella Gypsy! My undies are almost all cartoon or superhero. Yes, I'm 50. I have Cookie Monster, Bat Man, Minions, several Star Wars, all of the different Avengers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Mario & Luigi, and more. I love Target's undie collections! I don't wear any Disney, though. As much as I love Disney characters I don't want them on my undies. I don't know why, I'm just weird. (I do wear Disney Jamberries on my fingernails.) Every SuperTarget grocery run has a quick detour to the undies section to see if there is anything new and fun. I spent my 30s and 40s in cotton granny panties so last year I decided to make a change. I still have a few of the comfy granny panties for backup but I love my fun undies. Silky, lacey, other ones only get worn for special occasions, lol.
Bras are totally plain. I joke that I have no boobs, it is all armpit fat that I pull forward, so I wear the Bali stretchy comfy bras in beige, white, black, gray, and pink. All of the pretty and lacey and push ups and other bras never get worn. I'm all about comfy when I wear them. At home I almost never wear them and they come off right after my shoes when I walk in the door. For military balls when I want to look like I have boobs I wear the stick-on rubber backless fake-booby bras with everything pushed up and out. It is the one and only time I ever wear anything low cut that would show cleavage so I enhance as much as I can.
I have always wanted to be a matching beautiful bra and panty wearer but it only worked out that way for me in my 20s. Somewhere along the line I chose comfort over anything else.

This makes me want to run out and buy some Star Wars undies!!

Panties are all sorts of colors and prints. Bras are beige -- and they are impossible to find! I am not thin as my avatar says -- I am overweight but not in the boobs! It's very hard to find a bra that I like and I HATE shopping for them! When I find one, I buy more and wear them out!

I don't really give my undies much thought. I wear thongs pretty much exclusively and they are mostly white, beige, or black. I do have one red one. I have worn them so long now that anything else is really uncomfortable to me. I feel like I'm always tugging at anything else :giggle. My bras are all black or beige and very plain, but they must have a little lift to them since my 3 children left me with nothing but what appear to be socks full of change :giggle

I have a mix, some more plain white/black/nude, and some that are really colorful and with prints. Picking out a pretty and colorful pair DOES pick me up a little bit.

being well endowed i go for comfort which doesnt bother me so much now but my daughter who is similarly built said to me why is everything over a b cup beige engineering?

@MrsPeel Re your original article. I do energy work (JinShinJyutsu) and there are colors for each day (which I forget!) so I do get the point of the article. I had one teacher who really stuck to that and some of the students used to tease her saying "Anita is tied to the colors" but there is truth to the effect of color on us. Years ago when I worked for an insurance firm in the 60s, there was no place for the many underling women to eat their lunches so some ate in the bathroom. (Yuck) Management created a "ladies' lunch room" - yes, that kind of thing was common back then - and it was painted bright orange, the color to get you moving. There was no lingering in THAT room. As I was one slight step above the clerks, I had more lunchtime freedom and usually went shopping!

Still, as long as the 'smalls' under my outer clothes feel comfortable enough to forget they're there, I'm happy.

haha! too funny. I only care that they stay in place and don't show through the gap in my waistband. Outside of that, I want comfort. haha. A pair with the elastic still working is nice too. :giggle:giggle

my bras have to be supportive unfortunately, and with that you get very little to choose from :( I usually just live in sports bras because they support a bit better.

This makes me happy. :)

As for Bali bras, I'm a Hanes online store addict. They have Bali, Champion, and Just My Size with Hanes all in one store and every time they have free shipping (at least once a week it seems) I go a little stupid. They have good bra prices.
