The kids are back in school, either part-time or online, and that got me thinking about my own learning. Although I don't enjoy doing homework for traditional classes, I do enjoy learning more about things I love, especially digital scrapbooking! There are several opportunities for learning here at The Lilypad. Click tutorials on the top menu bar or visit the learning pad in the forum and you'll find all kinds of tips and tutorials to expand your knowledge of digital scrapbooking. Which TLP tip or tutorial has you excited to scrap?
@HeyJude 's patchwork digital backgrounds tutorial had me looking through all the pocket page templates with new eyes and inspired me to scrap these layouts. https://the-lilypad.com/forum/galleries/new-case.443914/
I don't usually art journal but all the artists creating videos for the Sept 2020 muses are really inspiring me to play and have some fun. And best of all, there's no mess to clean up at the end with my digi goodies! week 1 - @Sokee one image (face) collage challenge I played with this one last night and had a blast! week 2 - @Rachel Jefferies collage challenge This one is on today's to-do play list. I can't wait to get scrappin!
How have I never used the Tutorial link in the top bar?! Talk about not seeing something right in front of me! I just scroll thru the blog & either search for keywords or click the category links down the side! Thanks for the timesaver!
Dude! Same! Now I know where the rest of my night will go! Ooooh I really want to try the Ghosted Titles!
There are so many hidden gems on our blog! I didn't even realize that the "tutorials" button up top here linked to the tutorials on the blog. oops! Ha ha!
One that caught my eye as we get closer to Winter made me think of how much I love a white background but it often needs some pizazz! I'm going to try this one but next week will go over the gradient ones. I always forget how to do that! Creating Texture on White Digital Backgrounds
Along with the tutorials, I love going through the "Why It Works" Polly Challenges... under FORUM>CHALLENGE PAD>DESIGNER CHALLENGES>WHY IT WORKS-POLLY CHALLENGES....not really challenges but explanations of different touches on pages with a challenge to use it on a page. I go to these challenges when I get finished with the monthly challenges.
Thanks for pointing this out. I didn't realize Jenn had made a linked list of the why it works threads that are in the learning pad.
@keepscrappin Here's what I did yesterday. While the paper is 'white' I even lightened it more with Hue/Saturation adjustments but I did want to keep the texture of the ribbing. I just used a light warm shadow on the Cut Outs which I made white. Not time yet for snowflakes...
