Today I found an interested animated movie named "The Croods", that basically tells the story of a modern cave family that survives several eco disasters as they embark on a wondrous journey across different landscapes, filled with new and fantastic creatures, I know it's pretty unrealistic, but funny, and while I watched, I remembered that I have a bunch of photos to scrap, photos that I have took in archaeological sites, museums, etc., so I searched for theme kits, and I found a cute one (Jurassic Stomp from Kristin Aagard) that for fortune included little people, including a cute girl very similar to Eep Crood but not redhaired, wearing a very similar orange dress, although not a tiger dress, but pretty close, so now I can scrap a movie page or my photos, so glad about it!
And do you use themed kits to scrap your pages, or simply use one that match the colors?
What do you do when you can't find a kit that contains the desired theme elements? do you extract them or search from the web? scrapping ideas are always welcome.

Past to Present may be of interest to you, sorry I wasn't sure if you are wanting a Kit idea, or if you are discussing in general Kit matching when you can't find one. I do all the time use non theme kits that match the tone and colours of the kit

But here's what may interest you from the shop:

Rich in the narratives of the ages, Past to Present is packed with remastered vintage imagery and textures, each evoking the palpable spirit of bygone eras. The kit is an ode to the curious minds and fervent hearts that find solace within museum walls, art galleries, hushed corridors, and the silent embrace of libraries. With unique sketches and stamps that mirror the intricate dance of history, this collection beckons enthusiasts of architecture, lovers of art, and those who yearn to explore the intricate footprints left by the past. Carefully created for those who seek the transformative power of learning from history and embracing the treasures it bestows upon us.

@Rachel Jefferies wonderful! thank you so much for introduce me to this elegant collection, for sure I'm gonna grab it, I've already plans for it, and of course a lot of pictures from museums, trips and cities, etc., that I know will match great with this collection.

I use a mix of themed kit or kits that match the colours. Sometimes I find myself mixing and matching. So I might take themed elements to add to a non-themed kit which has the right colours. I sometimes combine 2 different themed kits to match my story.
For example, here we played a murder mystery game set on the orient express. So I mixed a detective themed kit and a train themed kit together:

@Angela Toucan dear, that's a great tip, to keep in mind. I used to use just one or two kits, but this is a great tip, thank you so much for sharing, and your page is so pretty, creative and dynamic, heading over to leave some love.

I love using themed kits. When I can’t find one I just match colors from the photos. I love the ideas above too!

I do this quite often as well. Here are a few examples I've done over the years.

I knew there wasn't going to be a themed kit in the colours I wanted so I leaned into a lot of October/November kits for the orange and black colour scheme instead.

Sure, in this case there are plenty of basketball kits but very few if any that are pink so again I leaned into using colour as my guide.

For this layout rather than a specific kit I went with bright colours and a painted look to guide my themed layout as I had a fair idea that while there maybe themed that could work they wouldn't gel as well as colours and paint.

Rather than going for an obvious dog kit, I went with the attitude of the photos instead.

You know its funny. I always start looking for a themed kits for something that is a themed type page that I want to make, but then quite often I end up not using the most themed pieces in the kit because I have the same items in my photos and I don't want to double up. I end up using all the more generic pieces from the themed kit and wonder why I needed the themed kit to begin with. :giggle Sometimes it's just a matter on finding somewhere to start on what kit to use I guess.

Agree, I almost always start by looking for the themed kit then most of the time land with colour as my main thing with pops of a themed kit. Pre Polly I was always very conscious of cost (due to exchange rates) and long term usability. Usability I think is why I own so many Just Jaimee storyteller collections especially older ones.
