Superbowl

Since we live in Seattle, we’ve supported the Seahawks for years. We even hosted a combined birthday and Super Bowl party, since it was also my daughter’s birthday. The win turned out to be a sweet birthday present for her.

There weren’t any standout commercials for me, and because of my hearing loss, I don’t really follow the music, so I wasn’t paying much attention to the halftime show. I did catch a bit of flak for not knowing who Bad Bunny was, but I genuinely enjoyed the choreography of the performance.

Ok, so who watched it? What did you think? Did you like the halftime show? Did you pick a team to win? Did I miss any good commercials?

We watched it! We weren't necessarily excited because we are Chiefs fans, but we weren't going to skip it. I chose to root for the Seahawks because they had the better looking outfits lol. That navy with lime green is so nice! I picked the right team. :) The game was SO boring for the first 3 quarters, but better at the end. I was super excited for Halftime, and Bad Bunny did not diasppoint! Love his message of unity! The set, the dancing, the eye candy shall I say? So good.

My mum is a Seahawks fan but we haven't watched it yet - I've found the replay on ESPN/Disney+ so once we have my computer back in action, we'll watch it cause we both agreed that trying to watch it on a phone wouldn't be much fun.

I've always loved their uniform colors! That is one reason I started following them when they joined the league 50 years ago. But I loved some of their players at that time as well.

I watched their trophy ceremony and parade on YouTube today. The team and fans were so excited. A lot of the players walked into the stadium with beers in their hands... they started celebrating quite early! Even the GM was feeling good :) During the parade a lot of the players actually got off the top of the busses and walked along the crowd where they talked with them, signed autographs and had their photos taken. The players were so excited to be celebrating with the "12's".

@HavaDrPepper My grandson is at the parade and will get a detention and unexcused absence for going. As a former teacher, I understand why they kept the schools open. But c’mon, what memories he will have for the day. The last time he got to go to a Super Bowl celebration, he was in kindergarten.

And yes, they do have such striking colors!

The news people on King5 were talking about the fact that it would be a unexcused absence for students. Someone (I think in the YouTube Chat) said that they were in school for the first win and none of the teachers actually taught that day... they were watching the parade coverage.

It is really special. I mean neither team in Ohio has ever had one! Even though the Bengals have been there three times, they've never won. And the Browns have never been to a Super Bowl. The other team not far from me (Detroit Lions) also have never been to a Super Bowl. I'm glad your grandson got to experience it!
