Suggestions wanted….

Maybe I wasn't clear in my question....its less about moving them but more about how do you not default to those designers for the bulk of your layouts especially for challenges? I'm well aware that we can use 25% of outside TLP products for monthly challenges

karen told me

me: out of 32 layers in photoshop, how many count to make 75%

karen said - 75% of 32 is 24. Hopefully that's enough for yours to pass.

but how do that on calulatur, is beyond me

To calculate, you divide the number of TLP items by the number of total items. So 24 divided by 32 = .75 or 75%

For me, I think it’s a style issue. When designing a layout, I have an idea of a color palette or design element I want to use, and I just search for it. It doesn’t matter who the designer is. I try to rename items with keywords (elements/papers/etc.), so searching is easier. It’s more work up front but saves time in the end.

Now that they're not in my TLP folder anymore, as I'm scrolling through, other kits will catch my eye.

I agree with the out of sight, out of mind. I also am a scroller. So, if I want something with delicate embellishments, I will look in my Designed by Soco folder, Gina Miller, or One Little Bird. If I want an alpha, I check Allison Pennington first. I own a lot of her alphas! If I want some bold themed kits, I go to Kristin Aagard or Bella Gypsy. If I'm looking for more rustic and artsy, I'll look at NBK or Lynn Grieveson. For Pocket Cards I default to Paislee Press or Designed by Soco. If I'm looking for a kit with everything, I default to Just Jaimee. Because that's what I buy from those designers.

Sometimes, if I want a specific theme, I'll search the store to see what comes up and see what kits I own. Except Christmas. Then I just search DYD in my stash.

It might be worth taking some time to window shop the TLP store and get a feel for the designers styles to see what you are drawn to. Kinda like when we do Pick Your Prize and you go through each designer to see what's out there.

I'm in denial about their departures and haven't done anything yet. . . . I guess that means I'll finally relocate the Etc By Danyale & LBW Karma collabs I was keeping in my TLP folder too . . .

Me too about the denial and the Karma collabs and it seems something from one of them is always just the perfect piece I'm looking for.

Honestly, I'm not sure what I'll do with my LBW and PRD stashes -- probably move them outside of my "UseMe" folder. I don't have store folders per se as I basically only shop here and post here. I do want to pop over and grab the kit designed for Ru. But the pad is where I feel most at home and I'm not looking to go multiple places. I love Rachel's stuff, and I have a lot of Lynn's too. I may get brave enough to really explore NBK's as I like a lot of hers too, but the options are always overwhelming me. I've got a bunch of the M3 stuff too.

i don't undestand the options either, hope can make chat tomarow and find out

starting the process --- I think I've counted over 200 kits between PRD and LBW in my stash. I will start by moving them to my EHD -- I guess my computer's internal drive will be happier. For now, they will all stay in my Lightroom catalogue, but they will be outside of my main digi stash folder that I usually search in, but still available to me.

I did find some kits I had moved to my EHD that are from other designers and still in the store, so I may move those back to my main folder. Not moving too fast on this one. But this seems like a good way to start without having to review each one to see if there are ones that I feel I must have in my main stash. But I may have to come back and pull LBW's girl drawings back in, but they will be available on my EHD
