Something WEIRD is happening in my PSE program..?

And, just in case, have you tried resetting the type tool?

One more question: Have you always had your type in px? not pt?

I have been a PSE users for yonks but I can't add anything to this discussion to try Amanda, sorry! I am wondering about the pixels versus points for the fonts as well?? But as you say, it has been fine up until now! Have you loaded any new programs or done anything different? updated the program etc. I am on version 14 and started at Ver 6 and have never had this problem............ have had the capitals problem that you had but not this one. Will keep an eye on this thread to see if anyone can find a solution............. which I will be writing down straight away!!! :)

I GOT IT!!!!:byay You have to do the PROGRAM preferences reset- NOT just the TYPE!
I'd try resetting the photoshop elements preferences file by:
Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Mac: Option+Command+Shift) immediately after Photoshop Elements begins launching. Click Yes to delete the Adobe Photoshop Elements settings file. It then creates a new one, much like updating your DBfiles for actions, etc.

:clappy:clappy:clappy Thanks, froglets!!!:goldstars

Well, tried 3 other templates- one with a very large sized font. NOPE.

So when you open different templates the font is still small? Try highlighting the text in a new template and see if changing the size breaks it out of being small.

I started way back on PSE6 years ago. I use several programs in design including PS once in awhile. I use PSE for a lot of things- version 15 now. Not going to the cloud until I am in my permanent home- if I live long enough the way things are goin'! LOL...

I have been on 'the cloud' version of PS for a couple of years and to be totally honest I hardly ever use it! The only thing I seem to use it for is to run my PS Actions on. :giggle

Oh yay for getting it working again Amanda!!!! :fairydance:happydance2:yahoo I have done a screen grab of what you did and filed it away in case I need to use it sometime!!! :woot

I'm so glad it worked!
Did it reset all your actions and brushes too? I seem to recall it did for me, so I avoid that until the last resort! But anything to make stuff work - right?

All of a sudden, :eyeroll my fonts are typing ridiculously small even though set at largest font size. I have to type ( can't even read it) and then toggle it to enlarge it and edit if i make typos! Anyone have a clue??? It is not my machine, as the other programs are just fine with the Font manager. This started last week???
Glad you got it fixed by resetting..

[FYI in Photoshop always check if your Ti selected in the text tool. That will make it smaller. ]
