here we are, I will complete the instructions as we go, but you have until tomorrow to make the page!!!!
Here are the instructions for today’s page:
1. Choose 1, 2 , 3 or 4 photos. Remember the most prominent thing in your page has to be your tittle.
2. You can choose to make this a tittle page, or just a single page with a title taking as much focus as your photo/s, Taking your choice into account, place the photos in the page and choose your background. I tend to go for plain/solids or one color with some texture, this is up to you, but always remember that a good tittle tends to get lost of using patterned backgrounds. You can also choose any format, photo-less ATCs welcome too!!!
3. For this page, you will find two different alphas, one font or more, and once piece of proper words art, preferable not a word strip.
Here are A few thoughts/opinions about Titles , please don’t take this as a tutorial or anything that is set in stone, these are just my thought, the way I think when composing a title,,,,and things I have found work for me, but each of us can find our way in different ways & styles
Also, may not be amazingly written,
repetitive …apologies ion so, my reading & writing aren’t the greatest at the moment
If you are unsure about your tittle, what I generally do is look at the photos, write down either details or feelings…or sometimes I let an element or a piece of word art determine my tittle…. for example, in a winter or holiday page, we have such an amazing range of possibilities…. if you choose to use a "Joy to the World " piece of word art, then you can do a contrast page by choosing a photo of a messy kitchen after cooking something for the holiday and call your page : Christmas 2016: Joy to the World… and war in my kitchen! or something like that LOL
I try to use a short or simple word art which will allow me to use a couple of alphas or extend the tittle without feeling too heavy in the page, or, like in my page for today, make the word art one of the most prominent parts of the tittle.
Your tithes not always have to form a sentence but show in a interesting & fun way what goes on in your page, like in this resolutions page, I built the whole tittle with word arts, or this other nEw Year's, with two different alphas and two fonts… adding numbers makes for interesting tittles, apart from the year, you can find always something in the page which you can be able to make into a number in the tittle.
When combining fonts, I try finding two different orientation, like one being italic, Capitals mixed with all lower case and sometimes completely different font styles go amazing with alphas too…. I do waste an enormous amount of time choosing alphas & fonts….. but when it al, comes together is amazing!!!!
I love making tittles out of sing tittles or parts of lyrics, the possibilities are endless and a good tittle can take the page into an amazing level!!!!
If you favour blank space and don't want to make a big tittle, I find Amy Wolff's Itsy Bitsy Alphas
https://the-lilypad.com/store/itsy-bitsy-alphas.html
amazing for tittles. Danyale has some amazing alphas for the holiday Worn Alphabet Soup
https://the-lilypad.com/store/Alphabet-Soup-Worn.html
and even a gorgeous non holiday alpha pack which works perfectly for holiday pages in then She Said
https://the-lilypad.com/store/Alphabet-Soup-then-she-said.html
I love Pink Reptile Designs Alphas, the BYOC Sparkly Season is gorgeous (this month’s BYOC)
and, of course, Allison Pennington Glitterbets are spot on for holiday tittles! I find amazing word arts within every kit from Forever Joy, and I used this time a piece of word art from Amber LaBau 's Handwritten Winter.
If you like going for bigger alphas, Heather Joyce has some awesome collection with her Foam & the Acetate alphas, and I particularly love Sara Gleason's Beech Alphas.
4. Once you composed the tittle and are happy with it, you can, if you want, add elements , as little or as many as you want, you can use brads or staples or stitches to hold part of the tittle in place for example, or make a cluster or whatever you feel like
Your page should be posted in the gallery by tomorrow same time the chat finished today, come and post it here so we can all leave you some love!!!!
