Huh... interesting to read all the responses! I think silence is my answer, though I do like a bit of ambient noise. I scrap well when I can hear other people around me doing stuff - so when we are in Florida, it's the chat group at the pool. Scrapbook retreats - the general hubbub around me is good. At home... yeah, maybe that's why I don't scrap much at home? DH is really quite and there's no other ambient noise that implies people doing stuff.
Oddly, I listen to audiobooks while weaving and spinning. I'll watch videos on occasion then, too. When I hand sew, it's Netflix or YouTube.
Maybe I should try an audiobook I know well while I scrap at home? Something I don't need to follow the plot to listen to. So, either Harry Potter or LOTR or Narnia. LOL!
