Do you scrap in silence or do you scrap better with some level of noise, if so what type of noise?

As much as I want to be able to listen to music while I am scrapping....I get too distracted so silence is best for me

Some noise, always. A tv show in the background 99% of the time. Rarely music for some reason, lol!

I actually get distracted by all the noises around me while scrapping if I don't have some music on. I listen to all kinds of music, but I really like classical orchestra or piano music best if I'm trying to do any long journaling.

Either silence or music I find relaxing, inspirational, or taps into emotions...so piano, modern classical, singer/song writer.

Sometimes TV will be on in the background...but I end up tuning it out...so why waste the electricity? Ha!

I’m definitely on team quiet. I can’t hear high notes so most music is not enjoyable. If I play anything, it would be 70s music; my brain remembers the missing high pitches!

I listen to podcasts all the time I am not at work, with headphones, so I have podcasts playing while I scrap. I do sometimes pause the noise while writing journaling!

Background noise 24 hours a day. The only way I can function so I don't hear the extremely high pitch tinnitus sound in my right ear. Most of the time it is the TV, even when I sleep the TV is on with the sound low so I don't actually hear what is going on. Although like @Iowan when I listen to music it is my favorite music from the 60's/70's/80's. I have favorite singers/groups in the country genre from the 90's that work for me as well. But right now my favorite music comes from a country a cappella group.

I listen to chillwave ambient, lo-fi, piano and soft jazz while I work or scrap - something nice playing in the background otherwise I will focus on other noises around me...

Background noise - usually whatever hubby has on the TV. Can't do silence!

I love watching a movie or TV show on my 2nd monitor or listening to music.
But no matter what, even if I'm not playing anything, there is always some kind of noise in my house when I'm scrapping, unless it is early in the morning before anyone is awake ROFL

most of the time just silence works best. Hardly ever music as I'll get too distracted by it. Occasionally I'll turn the TV on in the background, but usually I ignore it, so like ArmyGrl said, why waste the electricity.

I almost always am listening to an audio book when I scrap. Sometimes I'll have music on- but it's usually a book. I do have to pause it while I do journaling- I can't quite listen and journal at the same time! lol!

I generally listen to music while I scrap. I hadn't thought of listening to podcasts: I may try that.

Usually I don't play music or any kind of sounds while scrapping, but it's not because I wouldn't scrap as well. I'm just focused on my scrapping and wouldn't even hear the music. I was amazed to learn some people play movies/tv while scrapping. I wouldn't comprehend any of the plot; it could just as well be white noise. I know some people want background noise, but I don't crave it. Fortunately, I am okay with it too because my desk is in the middle of my house, in a nook between the family room and kitchen, and there are several people in my house, so I can hear anything that's going on. But I can ignore it too, and focus on what I'm doing.

I used to really love the silence, but anymore I will put on a show or a podcast for background noise.

I usually forget to put anything on so silence it is for me.
