Southern California - I didn't think I'd like our current city, but I can get to just about any SoCal location in any direction in about an hour: Los Angeles, Orange County (Disney is 40 min.), Palm Springs, the mountain cities, wine country...and just a bit more time to San Diego (1.5 hrs).

I never added where specifically. Geographically, it is a small town in S.C., USA. My soul feels like we are living under a rock because this place hasn't changed in 50 years- and the mentality is the same. We used to joke that the Pee Dee area is swamped, as it does contain swamps(ICK!) snakes, slitters, skinks, gators you name it! Truly, not just being negative, the mentality is so different here, especially for one who has traveled much and lived outside the States.

MANY of my former students STILL have not gone across state lines! So I would say my butt is here, but my heart is most at home outside of the U.S., and my feet are right behind it! The Middle East has been in my heart the past 5 years. I will move there in a heartbeat if/when the way is made! Now you know! LOL!!!
