Well, we have our 10 suggestions and now it's time to vote and pick the next four books we'll read together. The top four books will be what we read September through December this year. Even if you didn't add to the suggestions, you are welcome to vote. We love all readers and anyone can jump in at any time!

The poll allows you to vote on your top FOUR books. The links for all the suggestions are listed below so you can read the descriptions of each book and see which ones you want to read. Personally I'm going to have a hard time picking because these all sounds great!

I will leave this poll open until August 17th. That will leave a few weeks for people to get their selections on hold at your local libraries. :) Here are the choices:

    Suggestions:
    1. You Me Everything by Catherine Isaac
    2. Reconstructing Amelia by Kimberly McCreight
    3. Ghosted by Rosie Walsh
    4. 84, Charing Cross Road
    5. The Last Time I Lied
    6. The Designer, by Marius Gabriel
    7. Missing Isaac by Valeria Fraser Luesse
    8. The Ones We Choose by Julie Clark
    9. This is How it Always Is by Laurie Frankel
    10. One of Us Is Lying by Karen McManus

I already read This Is How It Always Is last January. I would have guessed it was for TLP book club. I have such a bad memory. :crazy3

I'm looking forward to reading a good novel soon. I've been engrossed in other things and haven't been immersed in a novel for a few months!

I voted and hope my library gets some of them in. They are changing their digital format and so far the catalog is disappointing. The only one I’ve read so far is Reconstructing Amelia and really liked it.

That's a big bummer Rae. Hopefully once they start adding to it, it'll get better. This reminded me that I hadn't put hold requests on the ones I voted for and I just found that they only have one of them available with my own eLibrary. Uh oh. :giggle I might have to break down and {gasp} read a paper book. The horrors!

Ha ha....I know eh? LOL. I may have to get a paper book too if my library doesn't increase their catalog when they do the final switchover in September. They are so messed up right now with switching to an app instead of a format for readers. I like reading on my phone when I'm out but the majority of my reading is on my e-reader. I can't even remember the last time I read a paper book, its been at least 3-4 yrs now.

If "the last time I lied" is one of the top 4, may I suggest we put that as the book for December? I checked my library and that title is the most popular one with the most holds

Yeah, I already put in my hold request on that one and I'm #8 on the list which means about 16 weeks out for me. Lol! I'm behind on our last batch of book club selections here for the same reason. I just started reading July's book a few days ago. But at least I know I can go back and read all the discussion once I finally catch up. :giggle

I did the same thing. I'm #20 on my queue but there are 7 books available and 3 on order (that just arrived!). Likely I will get them in a few weeks.

There are several on this list that I want to read. I'm pretty sure "The Last Time I Lied" is an Amazon Prime Unlimited book. I need to go look.

I right away checked the box of This Is How It Always Is, because this has been on my to-read list for a long time.

And then I crossed off all the ones I couldn't get through my library.
I could choose from 6, which positively surprised me.

I'm excited about most of these books and can't wait to get back to the challenge!

ETA: I have actually already read This Is How It Always Is in 2017! I finished my 2018 Goodreads challenge and checked the other years. And there I saw an familiar book cover! Lol! I gave it 4 stars, btw. I am more then willing to read it again.
