Hey everyone! Welcome to Rachel's June 2020 challenge!

First off, let's congratulate the lucky winner of last month's mixed media challenge. The winners of the May Mixed Media Challenge are $10 - @sharonb and $6 @Claire Grantham. Congratulations to both of you!! Rachel will be in touch with your coupon codes.

June 2020 Challenge:

This month's challenge is a fun and easy scraplift challenge. I honestly love finding inspiration in another scrapper's creativity. Especially if I'm in a rut.

All you need to do is choose a layout from this Pinterest Board. These layouts have been created by Rachel herself and her amazing Captivating Sistas (past and present). Your job is not to copy the layout but to find inspiration in something and use that on your layout. It could be a solid background with lots of paint, it could be a black and white photo or it could be some amazing cluster work. Just make the layout your own in some way.

Challenge Requirements:

  • Show us which Creative Team Layout Inspired you when you post your page here. You may use the inspiration however you wish, the composition, the colour scheme, the technique etc. Please tell us what you were inspired by.
  • Where possible challenge layouts must use 100% of Rachel Jefferies Designs currently available in the TLP store (Collaborations including my Mixed Media Monthly Subscription Kits and Add Ons are also ok!). The exception to this is retired products that were previously for sale at TLP which can be used. A few elements here or there from other products that were previously available prior to Rachel's retirement or freebies may also be used.
  • Upload your layout to the Rachel Jefferies Designs Gallery at TLP.
  • For your challenge entry to be counted, you MUST reply to this thread with your finished layout. Please link your thread layout to your gallery.
  • I'd like to see brand new pages, so no double-dipping with other challenges :).
  • New Release Bonus Entry! If you use one of Rachel’s products released in June 2020 (a new release, M3, BYOC and even SOSN released in June 2020 count) you will get a bonus entry for a chance to win the $6 coupon (should you not be the $10 winner). Please let me know if you are eligible for the $6 entry by stating “New Release Bonus Entry” when you post in the forum.
  • The challenge will be open through June 30th at which time a random participant will win a $10 coupon to Rachel's shop. The winner will be announced when July challenge is posted.

Here's my take on this page. The minute I saw Rachel's page, I knew what pictures I wanted to use. My grandson and I spent a whole day in the Historical District of Downtown Ft. Myers, Florida and I loved documenting these pictures for this challenge.

I was inspired by this gorgeous layout by AJM.


I was inspired by that fabulous yellow flower and messy thread, so I decided to use the same collection and see what happened.

OMG@ @Cherylndesigns - that's where I grew up! Did you see the huge banyon tree? When my sister and I were little, it was right in front of the court house and we would go stand by it. It was big then, but now it's GINORMOUS! I hope you enjoyed your visit; I have many fond memories of visiting the library downtown when I was a kid.
 
*New release bonus entry*
Here is my page. I was inspired by the small photo, circles and stitching and horizontal line design. I was also inspired by the pop of color (her's red, mine yellow).

I was inspired by the overall design, the pocket card and photo pairing with the vertical details alongside.
