So Many Wonderful Layouts! & So Much Inspiration Just Here In This Thread!...I See A Few Layouts Here That I Would Like To Scrap Lift Myself!!!...But This Challenge Is About Scraplifting Rachel's "Captivating Sistas"...So Much Inspiration There Too!...It Took Me Quite Awhile To Go Through The Gallery Of Fantastic! Pages!...I Went Awhile Down The Page & Found This One By @cinderella ...[Not The First Time I Have Been Inspired By One Of Her Layouts & Have Scraplifted...]...So Here Is Cinderella's Layout:Clouds...




*Aptly Named For Sure!...I Was Absolutely Drawn By Those Wonderful Cloud Photos!...I Was Kind Of Leaning Towards Wanting To Do Something To Do With The Sky &/Or Clouds & When I Saw Those Fluffy Clouds!...I Knew This Was The One...But There Is So Much More Here To Love...All That Texture To Start With!...Yes!...I Love! Texture! & There Is Lots Of That In My Layout Too!...The Repetitive Use Of Circles! & Scatter!...Yes!...I Added Circles & Scatter Too!...The "Black Piece"...I Added That Too!...Cinderella Has Thread!...I Added That Too!...The "Grey & Black" Paper Piece Towards The Left Upper Corner...I Mimicked That With My Black & Grey Photo!...The Graphic Text On Paper!...I Added That Too!...Black Lines!...Me Too!...Lots Of Paper Pieces!...Me Too!...Heart!...Me Too!...I Really Loved The Mix Of Colors Here Too!...Different Shades Of Blue/Teal...But Mostly For Me...The Purple/Pink Flowers In The Left Corner!...That Color Became The Star In My Layout! Mixed With Lots Of Those Shades Of Blue!...I Added The Red & Yellow To Contrast With All The Blue & Purple!...Yellow Stars With Blue Always Remind Me Of "The Lone Star State"...A Play On Words Of Sorts...[At Least In My Mind...]..."Lone"...Lonely" In Context With The Layout...But Yellow Is Also A Bright! & Happy Color!...That Radiates "Sunshine" ...[Complete Opposite Meanings...]...& The Underlying Theme Of My Layout...HOPE!!!...The Other Stars Are Darker/Moodier/More Complex In Thought & Meaning...[Fits With The "Cloudy" Moodier Theme...]...But Also Representing You As A "Star" In Your Own Life...& Having The Strength To Endure Through The Darker Times...& Emerge Out On The Other Side Of "Hope" Light & Positivity...Red Has All Kinds Of Connotations...So...I'll Leave Those Up To You To Decide The Meaning!...But The Scatter Is In A Circle-Like Shape...So It Fits With The Original Layout's Use Of Circles....Very Well...I Used A Darker Color Palette To Exhibit My Theme Of "Cloudy Days"...& Darker But "Bright" Elements...Mixed With The Black & White Words & Paper Pieces...That Is Prominent In Cinderella's Wonderful Layout...Ultimately In The End...I Ended Up Using Rachel's Element "Clouds" Instead Of Real Cloud Photos...[Which I Started Out With...& A Completely Different Layout Design...But Creativity & Process Changed The Original Design Into The Design You See Here As The Final Result...]...And Rachel's Moody Clouds Were The Perfect Solution For Me...& The Perfect Element To Complete My Layout's "Cloudy" Theme...
