I have loved having a planner. I'm also admired the Erin Condren - too much money for my budget - Life Planners. I've used an off brand, but I hate not being able to use the cute planner stuff here as is. I've always had to modify it.

And then I went to Michaels today. For the grand sum of $14.99 +tax I got a cute Recollections planner! The boxes are barely bigger than the regular EC planners, so all those cute stickers will fit perfectly! It has a file pocket, clear plastic pocket, and comes with stickers!! They had a horizontal and vertical layout, I stuck with the vertical. And it's laid out just like the more expensive planners. I'm so excited!

Anyone else find a new planner for next year?

I have looked at the Recollections planners, too. Right now I have 2 Happy Planners that I got great deals on mid-year. I have the large 8 1/2 x 11 that I use as my teacher planner and I have one regular size that I use for home/scrappy/memory keeping stuff. I don't need one now, but will probably be looking for another teacher one before school starts next year. I didn't get the specific teacher planner this year because I got such a great deal on the plain big one. The main difference was that the teacher planner has more boxes for the class periods, so I solved that by using thin washi to divide the 3 blocks in to 6. I just made my own checklists and sections for other things I needed. I love both my planners! I get excited just to turn to a new blank week! I am kinda sorta looking for a personal sized one to keep in my purse and debating whether or not I need another one :giggle

Man! you missed the black Friday sales.... those were $9.99! and happy planners were 60% off.

I have a happy planner classic I use regularly; it goes through 2017, so I'm good... that doesn't stop me from wanting a mini Happy Planner (which I do not need). I also have a large teacher edition of the Happy Planner which I bought on clearance, and also that I don't need. I joined a few planner groups on facebook, and am actually going to a planner lady holiday meet up next weekend.
I love the idea of the stickers and stamps and decorating, but most of the time I forget about it, or love the idea of them more than actually using them. I tell myself seventy million times I need to use the digi supplies I have, rather than buying others.

I bought a xyron sticker maker, specifically so I could print out digi elements on paper and use them as stickers, which I haven't done yet. I still do my spreads in Photoshop elements and print out to put into my planner.... like this one for next week:

@IntenseMagic we should switch! At the very least, exchange some of the pages (I like to scan them in, in order to make templates to make layouts with digi supplies)... I grabbed the teacher planner specifically because I wanted a big planner (why? no idea). but I've only used one or two spreads, which are past weeks anyway. :giggle

I am about to switch to a Webster's Color Crush - I got it on sale a few months back - just the cover/binder though. I wasn't overly crazy about their precolored/designed pages. For 2017 - I knew I wanted blank - all white pages so they will match any kit the TLP designers create. I just ordered some blank/undated filler pages yesterday for the new year. The design is kind of weird - so I'm not sure how much I am going to like them??? I toyed with printing and possibly designing/making them myself but it seems like a pain to do all that printing and cutting ... and then the whole punching too.

I also have the SC planner - undated that was like $16 on sale awhile ago. Didn't need it but I couldn't resist. No idea what I will use that for!

My existing MAMBI Happy planner is almost done and I am a little sad. I love the slightly bigger size (a little bigger than A5) and love the thick pages. I almost bought a replacement one on Black Friday bc of the super deals. But I knew it was silly, so I restrained myself.

@bestcee Micheal's kills me with all their planner stuff. I try not to go in there!!! The recollections ones are really cute & a great price. Enjoy and looking forward to seeing what you do with it.
@Karen ... come on join us! you know you want to! :giggle

I can't get sucked into the pretty planner thing! Something would have to go in order for me to add that to my list of stuff I do. I have drooled over it all though and have researched them thoroughly, but in the end, I can't do it. I bought an Erin Condren on sale a couple years ago and abandoned it a few months in.

I'm finding that a bullet journal works better for me. Although I use it as less of a planner and more of a catch all notebook of random stuff. I've picked out a pretty new one from Mochi Things to put on my Christmas List. I'm excited to have a fresh book to I can make a more organized start with it now that I know how I like to use it.

@klee73010 considering my Michaels store is in the middle of a fairly large shopping plaza, and that my mil went to Bath and Body Works in the same plaza on Black Friday and it took her almost 1 hour to check out, I wouldn't say I missed it. :giggle
Honestly though, I didn't know they existed until this past Monday.

I'm trying so hard to avoid a new hobby/planner. :giggle I keep seeing the planner section at Michaels and getting drawn in though... so many options and pretty things!

This is me. Completely!

Awesome! Does a blank planner make you excited?

my mom got me my RED Leuchttrum1917 for my birthday...and I am so antsy to play...but love the way this years looks near the end:

Shoot... when I linked to the Mochi Things site, I found this on the front page and I think I need it...

ooooh ... they have such cute things ... i have been tempted by seeing their stuff on Pinterest. love the organizers (iPad cases & little card holders - for all those store cards.)

and BTW ... your bullet journal/organizing totally counts as "Planning"!

I started bullet journaling in September and am using a Leuchtturm 1917 in berry. Ah, so pretty!
Has anyone else found the pen holder annoying though? That thing is so slim that you can hardly fit a pencil in there. Now it's just stuck there at the end and has no use at all.

@tkradtke Those Mochi Things products are super cute. Love them.

I just got sucked into buying another Happy Planner (the gorgeous peony one). Funny enough, I'd avoided Michael's lately because I can't *not* buy something there. But I took my grandma to Fred Meyer/Kroger and she needed to buy a pack of crayons for when Kennedy is around, so that stupid Happy Planner caught my eye. Ugh. I'm actually going to have to try using it because I have got a lot of things that need to be on a calendar now, so I guess I may have to figure out a way to make it work. I love brain dumping in a notebook, but that doesn't really keep me too organized. I have to have some structure at this point with all of Kennedy's appointments/activities, my appointments, and my grandma's. I need a 4-Dimension type of calendar. LOL. I keep trying to envision a new invention that would work, but I haven't stumbled upon it yet.

Ha! I got sucked into the planner stuff last year and bought a Color Crush - then another because they were both so pretty. Then decided I wanted a Kikki.K. Loved it - so bought one to match in a smaller size. Then the new CC came out so I bought yet another - so at one point I had 5 (F I V E) of them!!! I decorated the inside covers for the seasons, but didn't really ever "use" them to actually write plans, events or appointments in them! So - one by one I sold them ... I hope they are happy in their new homes!! THEN - I bought an Erin Condrin Life Planner - and was off to a great start (it was dated June 2016 through December 2017) - but as of late, it just sets there looking all pretty. But one of the things I NEED to do for 2017 is to use the darned thing!! LOL! Not sure that I will pretty-up the pages or not ... baby steps, first I just need to write in it!!
