1. On a scale of 1 to 10, how much do you like pizza? Probably 8 -- it really makes me bloat, but I do love it.
2. What crust do you prefer? thick (Chicago style) but will eat thin (but not crispy), also like deep dish pizza
3. What sauce do you prefer? red but alfredo is good, especially in Margherita pizza or a philly cheese steak pizza
4. What toppings do you prefer? all of them but green peppers but I can pick them off
5. What brand do you prefer? no store bought ones. Delivery here is yuk. In store: Blaze, local pizza places, Panera. Trader Joe's has fresh pizza dough that bakes up nicely for at home pizza.

I just had pizza for lunch at a local place.
Ooh philly cheese steak pizza with alfredo sauce sounds delicious! One of my kids likes Blaze but I thought it was meh the last time we tried it. I’ll have to remember to try Trader Joe’s dough.

If I'm sharing with my husband, we compromise on hand tossed, red sauce, ham & pineapple. (He's a "throw on all the meats and sometimes jalapenos too" pizza man.)
Love the triple 10 enthusiasm! Your chicken alfredo pizza sounds much more exciting than the compromise pizza with your husband haha

My grandparents lived in Brooklyn and Long Island (Rockville Center) but my parents moved to Westchester County where I grew up. Tiny little town called Valhalla, next to White Plains. When I went to college, both of my parents (divorced by then) moved to other parts of the country. So, I rarely get back to NY although I visit my sister in NJ fairly frequently. She lives in Morris Plains -- which also has great pizza (and bagels!).

I'll never forget a cab driver telling me about the pizza at the Star Tavern in Orange, NJ: "The pie is tremendous," he said. And the pizza at the Star Tavern really is the best pizza I have ever eaten, and a pretty tough act to follow!...

Just a regular tomato sauce

All the toppings. Unless its from Giordanos then cheese and sausage. If we order from Mod I try all the weird combinations.

3. What sauce do you prefer? When I do eat pizza, I prefer a pesto or white sauce base

5. What brand do you prefer? If I'm going to eat a pepperoni or cheese pizza, I do like Sbarro, but we don't have one closer than about 30 min away. My favorite used to the Magical Mystery Tour at Mellow Mushroom. It had pesto base with button and Portobello mushrooms, Mozzarella, Spinach, Feta and Jalapenos, but they don't carry it anymore :(

I rarely eat it at restaurants or store-bought anymore since I've been dairy-free since 2008 (lactose intolerance). However, a few times a month, I make a pizza-like thing at home with pre-cooked veggies and vegan cheese on flatbread as a easy dinner option.

3. What sauce do you prefer? My favorite of the last year was a vegan kale pesto that my grocery store stopped carrying a few months ago and I'm very sad about that.

5. What brand do you prefer? If I had answered this a few years ago I would have said Amy's brand frozen roasted veggie cheeseless pizza, but I had it so much in the last decade that I got a little tired of it and have only bought in once in the last year.

Hey Jan! We have similar pizza tastes (see my post just above this one). All those veggies, and I love garlic too, though I didn't think to mention it. Also I just discovered Mellow Mushroom in December. It has recently opened here in Fredericksburg, though it was the Mellow Mushroom down in Williamsburg where I ate with a friend when we went down there during winter vacation. I was impressed with the options for vegans. I ordered something mushroomy that was quite good. I need to ask for even less (vegan) cheese though; they really pile it on! I had asked for less cheese but still thought it was too much.

p.s. to all the pineapple lovers, I forgot to say I also love pineapple on pizza . . . I forgot about it because I often ordered that from restaurants long ago when I used to order restaurant pizza more often. I don't think about using pineapple on my homemade flatbread pizzas though; I should! So thanks for the reminder. :D

2. What crust do you prefer? I like a keto or cauliflower crust these days. A nearby restaurant makes a keto crust that is good.

4. What toppings do you prefer? always pepperoni and sausage but occasionally bacon and beef. Veggies are green peppers, olives and onions.
5. What brand do you prefer? Local restaurants that serve low carb pizza are Pizza Pizza and Red Swan but Pizza Pizza is the best.

Yay for another Costco pizza lover! It can’t be beat for the price you pay. I’m sad they don’t offer combination any more though. It sounds like the Star Tavern is a must! I doubt I’ll ever go to NJ but if I do I’ll know where to get pizza at least!

I’ve never tried Detroit Style from Little Caesars so I’ll keep that in mind. I think there’s a Mod where my parents live but I’ve never tried that either.

I also enjoy a good thick crust; they are delicious dipped in milk! I have my kids give me their crust when they don’t want it.

1 or 2?! You win for liking pizza the least haha the pesto pizza sounds good minus the mushrooms and jalapeños.

I didn’t realize you went dairy free because of lactose intolerance. I would like to try the vegan kale pesto sauce as well as the Amy’s brand pizza. I’ll have to look for them locally.
