Personal Shopper (aka ISO thread) 2021

@honeyandcheese
What about this one? It's beach, but softer colors:

These papers have a beachy fall feel to them:

This kit is a little more Hawaii, but I love the colors for fall:

There's a ton of stuff in here, and a lot of the colors are less summery. It's a huge collection, so you can browse the different pieces:

This one has summer wordart, but the colors are more fallish:

I’m probably showing my age (as in how young I am) here but does anyone have any suggestions for kits that would be good for scrapping growing up in the 90’s or 2000’s. I am a late 80’s girl but remember next to nothing about that time so something for 90’s onwards would be awesome.

Ooh thanks @bestcee I already have Forever Joy’s kit and I think Becca’s kit is perfect for what I want too (too bad I’m now on a spending freeze as such).

So I have an 11-year-old daughter but she is not into girly-girl things, pink, fashion, chitchat, shopping, etc. and purposely does things against stereotype. I know many people use the word "tomboy" to describe this type of girl but lots of tomboy-themed kits tend to skew towards younger girls and/or ones who like to "be like the boys" and get dirty, play sports, etc. This is not her, either.

If I have to label to make it easier to search, she's a little emo (wears as much black as possible), a little grunge (she's currently obsessed with plaid shirts and is appalled that the girls' section of stores don't generally carry plaid shirts), and a little nerdy/geeky (reads & writes stories, especially fantasy, and loves video games that are also world-building like Animal Crossing).

I'd like to scrap her preteen-ness in all its glory but don't want a "tomboy" kit and don't want a frilly girly teen girl kit (and no shade there as I'm a super girly-girl myself). I'm not really sure what to look for or how to scrap that. I know I could use an adult kit with neutral colors but would prefer some preteen/teen wordart that coordinated. The theme of the page would be how she's growing into her own person and elaborating on what makes her the person she is.

Does any of that make sense?! :giggle

@LeeAndra
I find pages like this tricky. I would normally use something like the Mixed Media Monthly kits, or Lynn Grieveson's kits. Many of the M3 kits include things themed towards becoming your own person. I often create my own wordart from alphas or fancy fonts on tags.

Now I am 100% sure there won’t be anything for what I actually want (cause who would scrap about using online academic journals) but does anyone know of any kits that would be good for scrapping about ebooks?

Try putting in reading in the search and it will come up with a lot.. if it is e-books you can notate a lot of these with the computer if needed.

A mouse in the house? :hairpol
Not the cute kind of kits. The "we're selling the house" kind!
I have a funny quote by my 5 yo, otherwise it's not something I want to remember!

I sorry, but this totally made me laugh. We had another stupid mouse in our house last week. I have NO idea how those like boogers get it, but I hate it! I have to wash EVERYTHING in my cupboards because I know they get in my silverware and knives drawer because they leave evidence. GAG! I'm going to be looking for your page.

Thankfully it was in the balcony, I haven't seen traces inside! We are in a third floor apartment, how did it make it?

I’ve already considered alpha options from the February 2019 BYOC but they aren’t exactly what I am after to work with

Any other suggestions welcomed.

@littlekiwi I really like this one with those...

If there are any other alphas in any of the sample pages that you like the look of (mine or others), I'm happy to find them in the shop for you. :)
