Pad Patter: 8/21 - Nationality

My mom is 100% Korean and my dad's family is primarily German. He was born blonde and has green eyes. My brother and I look like our mom.

My husband's mom is 100% Italian and his dad was born in Ireland. He looks like his mom.

Both of our kiddos look like me. Those Korean genes are strong. It's the same with John and Kate plus 8, those kids look nothing like Kate.
 
I was born in Chippenham Wiltshire but my family immigrated to Australia when I was 2 years old and I became an Australian citizen in the 80's.

According to my mother we have a crazy mix of English, Scottish, French and Native American Indian in our background, I'm apparently 1/16th but we don't know any real details about that, just from things my Great GM said to my Mother. I would love to find out more about it :)

I am almost 100% Dutch, my grandfather from my mom's side was from Belgium so there's a tiny bit of that in me too.

We have lots of German and Indian on my mom's side. There is German and English on my dad's side. No exciting stories to tell about my family history...no one came over on the boat. I do know that 5 greats out we had a Cherokee Indian chief (I think on my mom's side).
 
I am American and Brazilian - dual nationality. My dad is American (of English and Irish origins) and my mom is Brazilian (of Portuguese and Italian descent).
 
I'm 100% polish so it's quite boring :) love to hear about all of the nationalities and the mixtures, what an interesting thing!
 
I am Dutch - born and raised but my mother is Indonesian (half from Java - grandmother - & the Moluccan Island Buru - grandfather) & my father is 100 % Moluccan from the island of Ceram (also Indonesia) Indonesia has a diversity of ethnicities.

And my family has been living in China - Shanghai as expats now for 8 years ;-) both my kids were born in Shanghai but both hold the Dutch nationality of course.
 
I am Dutch, both parents Dutch as well, born and raised and moved away. Lived a lot of countries, currently American resident in the beautiful Pacific NorthWest.
 
I was adopted, but what I know of my birth family is that my mother's father was from Latvia, moved to N. Ireland and met my grandmother...who was a Cochran by birth and her family is from Scotland. My bio mom was born in N. Ireland and was raised later in England.

My bio dad's side is a mix...Choctaw Indian being one of the things he has in him...but the rest is most likely Scottish or Irish.
 
My mother is 1/2 Russian 1/2 Romanian and my father is a German from Russia. My parents are both first generation Canadians.
