Do you still write them? Or are you all electronic now?

I write so few that every time I do I feel like it's the past. :giggle Even when I DO need to send a check, I generally have the bank do it through online bill pay.

I definitely write less checks these days, but there are always things from the school that I have to write a check for, like adding money to the kids hot lunch account. I also have a high school girl who comes to our house to watch our boys during the summer and I write her a check each week. That's about it though thankfully! I used to hate writing checks to pay bills. I love online paying!

I only write checks to pay for stuff for my kids at school or for ball pictures, etc. All of my bills are paid online, so I don't write them for that.

I have never seen a check in this country, ever. Everyone does bank transfers.

I pay most of my bills online, but there are some that come up every once in a while that I just find it easier to send a check. Back in the day I'd go through a box of checks pretty quickly, but now they last me forever. Online bill paying is the way to go!!

I write two a month, and only because that's the only option I have for paying those bills (hoping they get with the program soon). Everything else is on-line. And I rarely carry cash, I use my debit card for 99% of my purchases, gas, groceries, etc.

It does feel like a blast from the past. We were just discussing this yesterday. A friend was saying that her 4th grader was excited that he had learned how to write a check at school yesterday. It started a funny discussion about the school being a little behind in the times.

I personally only write checks to the school a few times a year because it is the only option for paying for things. I also write a check to our lawn service twice a month bc I am not comfortable leaving cash in an envelope.

I write a check to my hair stylist and that's pretty much it anymore. I love the convenience of scheduling bill pay.

There are a very few things we use a check for - the high school babysitter we use occasionally, church (they don't do automatic withdrawal at ours), mmmmm I think that's about it actually.

You can't write cheques in the UK for personal transactions anymore - not in the supermarket or stores or anything. I think you can still write business to business cheques, and like I think I could pay something like the rent on my house? I don't think I've used one for a decade lol!

I write checks only for church and special events. However, I carry 4 checkbooks for the service organization that I'm treasurer for. They don't do anything electronic.

Mine only takes checks and cash too.

I feel like I *should* use checks more often, after the Target nightmare I had to deal with (TWO compromised debit cards) and then seeing my Michael's on the list. Some stores fill them out electronically for you, you just sign. The majority of places also do electronic checks around here too.

I write checks for my cleaning lady and the occasional school/club dues. I would say maybe 3 to 5 checks a month at most. Almost everything we do is online bill pay.

I only write checks to my nanny and for extra school stuff as well... field trips/t-shirts/pictures, etc... That's it.

And I would totally Paypal the nanny if she owned a computer, LOL. She doesn't even text. How funny is that? I adore her and trust her and she's been with me for over 10 years, but she is totally old school.

I still write checks.... a lot. Not as much as I used to, because I do pay all my bills online. But my ex-husband ruined me on bank cards years ago and I haven't had one since. I also know I spend far less money if I have to write a check since I am limited as to where I can write them LOL. I would say I write 10-12 a month and cash for everything else. Most places here fill them out electronically and they are debited right away, so no waiting for them to return so it's about as easy as using a card.

DD's preschool required checks (wouldn't take cash & couldn't pay it online), so I was always rushing around at the last minute trying to find the checkbook at the beginning of each month.

As if I would put it one place knowing that I needed to write one check every month for 9 months in a row. :P

Just school items. One at least, and depending on a sport of function, maybe another. It's odd when my boss runs out of stamps and has a handful of envelopes to mail... with checks and bill payments. lol!

Nope no checks here, try my best to use cash and if not my debit card as we have no credit cards
