Can you? Do you?

Can you not even sew on a button? Or are you a full-blown seamstress? Quilting?

Quilting was on my bucket list, so I've been dabbling in that a bit. I want to make Sean a Minecraft quilt, but I've had the fabric for a year and haven't made the first cut, so you can guess how that's going. I really should finish that before he doesn't even play anymore. :giggle

Clothes I'm not super good at. Not enough room for error, I think. Quilting is more forgiving.

I figured out how to make the Sticky Bands headbands since I wear them literally every time I run and they cost so much. Love them!

I love sewing although I have so much to learn. Right now I am trying my hand at making my 2 youngest daughters some outfits like the Matilda Jane ones. I am learning as I go. I know the basics but would love to take some sewing classes. I am also teaching myself to quilt. Just got my first top put together and have started the quilting but I just had baby number 5 so finding time for all that is not happening right now. I also need a dedicated sewing room where I can just leave everything out.

i suck at sewing. i even bought a new machine with lots of cool stitch functions, but that doesn't make me any better :)

I learned how to sew back in home ec but it's been ages since I've touched a sewing machine. I've only ever used a needle to fix dress pant hems that come undone, etc and even that wasn't very good work.

I learned to sew in Girl Scouts way back when, but I'm not very good at it. I can fix a pillow or reattach a button if I need, too. My mom is a great seamstress so I rely on her to do my hemming and help with Halloween costumes. She's tried to teach me how to use the sewing machine, but it doesn't go very well!

I can barely zip up my own pants let alone sew. :giggle

The only class I ever got a C in from K-12 was Sewing. That abt sums it up.

I have a machine and have done a few things…pillow/cushion covers, curtains, Christmas stockings. Last year for Halloween was my first clothing project - I made a my little pony costume for my youngest. I'd love to get better and have more time for it, maybe someday. Also, I have a hard time reading the patterns. All I can say is thank goodness for blogs and video tutorials!

My eyesight is so poor I cant even thread a needle....so I cant sew

I can sew on a button if I have to. I just learned to use a sewing machine this year, but other than a few simple things, I am no good at it haha

I've done some sewing, and I really like it, but I haven't done anything in a long time.

I have to have some focused quiet time, because I'm very slow and careful with it. I taught myself when my husband was a pastor and we were as poor as church mice. I had the grand idea that I would just make my clothes...ha! That didn't last long. I did make some sundresses and things. A few years ago I made a cute shirt that I'm still really proud of.

I've never tried quilting, but I think handmade quilts are beautiful and really admire people that do.

What are sticky bands headbands?

I only sew on paper! :giggle

Heather has the coolest sewing machine and I think she only does paper too.

I wish Bianca would enjoy those girly things from Matilda Jane (so I can make her knock-out versions).

Anyone can sew you just need to go at a "speed" that is good with you. Ask Heather, LOL!!!

Jennifer, You would be amazed at the new machines, they thread the needles for you!!!!

I sew and used to love it, maybe I still do. I started sewing when I was about 7 in my mom's machine. By that time I had been "gluing" dresses for my barbies. LOL!!! I did my own dress for my middle school graduation. I bought a bridal gown pattern and altered it to make it into my dream graduation gown. LOL!!!

yes I like to sew. I made a few quilts, clothes and some other little projects. But I do not do it regularly. At the moment, for example, I'm learning to build small wooden things for my home :giggle

I used to sew when my kids were small and I was poor. I loved making clothes for them and for me. They grew up and I got a good job with less time and more money so the sewing sort of disappeared. I rarely use my old machine now but I do enjoy it when I do.

I can sew a button and hand finish a seam, I can embroider, but I can't sew. It's a big joke around here. Anything having to do with actual sewing or the sewing machine is DH's realm. I wish I could but I'm seriously challenged.

I can barely sew a button... it's sad. My grandmother and aunt are amazing at it though. ;)

I have ten left thumbs and i can't even thread a needle without getting one of the kids to help me .... I am a major disappointment to my sewing Mum :D
