Do you color yours? Why? Just don't like your color or trying to cover grey? Do you do it yourself or leave it to the pros?

I'm all natural. It's a bit darker than it was when I was younger, which is to say 'a darker shade of really boring'. Not blonde, not brown.

BUT, I don't have any grey yet (knock on wood) and I'm far too lazy to keep up with coloring just for vanity sake, so here we are. It's also always really dry, so the less i do to it, the better. I try to even keep blowdrying to a minimum and am trying to just embrace my waves. Oy.

How 'bout you?

Exactly the same... I don't have any gray hairs yet, so I'm too lazy... it's just somehow brown.
But: as soon as I'll get gray hair, vanity wins. And then, I'll go for something BRIGHT... at the moment, I favor red. REALLY red.

My hair color is all natural though darker than when I was a child.

I totally color my hair and sadly even though I'm just turning 40 at the end of the summer, I totally have grey. I can deal with a little gray here and there without to much of a hit to my vanity, but ever since I was 18 I've had this grey stripe right at the front of my hairline, so that whenever I pull my hair back, there it is! My lovely skunk stripe. I hate it, so I color to get rid of that. Mostly I'm sticking to my natural color, but sometimes I go a tad lighter.

I color for gray, found my first one at 27 and they've only multiplied over the last decade. I have my stylist color it. :)

I have calico hair! I have had gray since high school.
Colors?
I had white with blue tips in the 80s, went all hues of red in the 90s, tried to do browns for a few years, then said
stuff it
cut it all off and grew out au' natural
love the grey! It is purty to me, a bit unrurly sometimes
a few days ago, I got a copper highlight kit and added it in to my salt and pepper
now it is kinda like a yorkie dogs color! bwhahha
but I like it!

I've been coloring my hair since I was 15. I started by doing it myself (remember those fun foamy hair colors you could buy? I think they were Herbal Essence or something). I've been every color other than pure black.

Right now my hair is dark brown with red and blonde highlights, I add the occasional pink streak. I am not entirely sure what color my hair is naturally anymore.

And, I have grays. I think I got my first in my late 20s. But - I don't really hate the grays. My coloring is all about vanity and boredom.

I used to color my hair just for the fun of it but stopped about 5 years ago and was determined to avoid all chemicals. My hair has been red, black, brown and blonde and I did one henna/indigo treatment to get it back to black a couple of years ago. Before it was this reddish brown color, and I was just tired of that. No need to hide any gray for me. I have a few strands in the front but I don't mind those actually.

I colored mine one time, but colored it the same color as it already is - I just wanted to see if it made it any softer/shinier. (It is coarse and naturally curly so it sort of does this puffball-brillopad thing on its own). My hair is dark auburn red, and as I add a few grays here and there it just gets lighter red.

I had some traumatic self-coloring experiences (mostly when I would try to go red). Now I just get the blonde blondified with the professionals every quarter. LOL. DH likes it blonde, but my hair is getting darker (luckily no grey). Now it is kind of more ombre. Blonde on top and then it gets darker in the longer parts.

I used to get mine dyed different shades of blonde in the salon but for about 5 yrs now I dye it myself at home and keep it closer to my natural color which is med brown with red highlights. I've gone different shades of both. Right now I have more red but am ready to go back to light brown again for a change. I've been dying my hair for about 20 yrs. It hides the gray :)

I have colored it once in a while, just for fun, but not in a long time. I don't have any greys and I'm not sure if I'll care enough when I do. DH has embraced his salt-n-pepper look.

My five-year-old wants purple hair.

I want to, I can see a couple grays that were not there last year. I am just tired of this bleh brown.

I started colouring my hair in my late teens. Even then I had noticeable grays showing. Last fall I made the decision to stop knowing I was at least 90% gray and so far I'm ok with it. My hair is about shoulder length and has grown close to half way out now. I figure if I can't deal with it I'll go back to colouring, but I'd really prefer not to.

I've had a plethora of colors. I really really WANTED blue hair in the 80's but I was in high school so I had to wait till the 90's. Then I used to clip my hair down to about an inch with longer bangs, bleach it all out white and then dye it as I pleased with temporary dye (manic panic). I really liked Lagoon Blue, which looked to me like a chlorinated pool color. I also did all manner of reds and pinks. Sometimes purple. Rarely green or orange. Lolz. Then I continued to dye it red into adulthood. For awhile I dyed it brown but figured, what's the picture? These days I'd let it go grey, but my hair has sproingy white hairs in a bed of dull, dull, matte brown. So I've settled on a nice brown-red. Set to dye it this weekend, actually.

Brett does it, obviously, and I let him because it makes me feel good. (it's red right now) I have some idears re: dryness.... back in a bit.

I'm naturally very blonde - although getting darker and darker as I'm getting older.. I've also been every "natural" color under the sun - from pure black to red, to dark brown and auburn for the various shows I've been in.. I absolutely LOVE when my hair is red, but am too lazy to maintain it, so it usually only lasts 6 months or so.. DH colors when I'm going from natural to something else, then when I'm ready to go back I have the professionals do it.. I've been itching to add a bright blue strand right at the base of my neck to peek out when I wear my hair up , but haven't made the time to do it yet..

Here is one of my fave reds vs the natural blonde in my profile..

I've never colored my hair. I've always liked the color of it. So if I ever do color it, it will because I found some grays. But that hasn't happened yet!
