Hi Guys! It's a random Tuesday, and I want to know... What is outside your window? Do you have a favorite window to peek out of? What would be your dream view?

:giggle So, I'm at work, and only have one window that I can see out of from my desk. I can see the sky, trees, tops of buildings, and at times the train that runs by. Occasionally in winter, I see the sun starting to set. I do enjoy the view as it's the only one I've got.

At home, I do like to look out of my kitchen window... when the sun starts to set.

My dream window would be a huge window, overlooking chairs on a deck and then a lake, and a sunset happening. That sounds divine.

I'm at work too and the only window I have now is about 20 feet in the air, so I can only see a sliver of sky. Sigh. My old office I had two huge windows facing the street, so that was nice to be able to see the weather at a glance. I moved to a different building about two years ago now. My office is WAY nicer, but I do miss my window.

When I'm scrapping at home, I'm right next to a wall of picture windows looking outside. I love all that natural light there. We have some bushes that kinda block the view for people looking in, plus I can see birds nesting in them in the spring which is fun.

I don't actually want to live in the mountains, but a window looking out over the mountains would be so pretty! Or an ocean view! But also, I don't want to live that close to the ocean either. Lol. Maybe I need one of those fake windows that you can choose the scene.

Where I am sitting in hubby's office from home, I can only see the neighbour's kitchen so we tend to keep the blinds drawn most days unless we are load shedding and need the extra light. The windows that look into the back garden are much nicer to look out of, there I can see the garden recovering from the heat of summer, the pool that is back to being blue and the cats stalking the birds in the trees.
My kitchen window is the one to see the sun rise from. It faces south so generally is the cooler side, but we get glimpses of the sunrise there. My dream view would be of Table Mountain, we would be able to see it really beautifully if the neighbour across the road's house magically disappeared.

My mom lives at the ocean... but 6 houses in. So, from her second floor balcony, you can see the ocean and bay, depending on if you look left or right. The dunes are so high, that you only really see a little. (I still worry, though it was a pretty dry location even after Sandy here).

I'd love a mountain view too, lol! But on a lake looking at them. :giggle

A pool would work for me, haha! I do like to see the green when summer is in full bloom. It makes me happy. I would love to see Table Mountain, and maybe the sun setting. btw, we have a Table Mountain in NY... it's not as large as yours but it's got great views of the Catskills in NY. :)

My desk is in the "secretarial pool" so no window ... I stare at a bunch of file cabinets all day. No co-workers other than my boss/father and he has an office of his own.

My favorite window is actually a combination window/patio door at my father's ocean front condo. I love watching the movement of the ocean and the sea birds flying around.

I’m at home most the time so I see mountains and sunrises out my back windows and tree lined streets and sunsets out my front windows.

My favorite views are from way up high (the top of a rollercoaster, on an airplane, or the top of a mountain) but I’d never want to live that high.

My favorite window is our kitchen.. it looks out into a green grassy field like thing.. best view... we use to have a wild turkey that hung out back there ..which was so odd cause it's rare here in our neck of the woods mostly in a neighboorhood... we named him gilbert..lol he happily gobbled along by our laundry room door entrance for about a year... and we would see him once in awhile hide in the bushes ... till one day sadly a neighbors dog made dinner out of him..that big fat wild turkey

Anyways.... I'd love a giant glass floor window over an ocean to see the fishes swimming or even a whale .. that would be my dream... crystal blue waters...

Out my office window is activity. There's trees that grow and change in the season. There's soccer fields that currently are set up for Spring Soccer and have practices from 5pm - 7pm or so. On Saturday, there will be games. There's school children walking to and from school, or taking a break from the classroom. There's people walking dogs, biking, running, pushing strollers. And sometimes, like right now, there's birds and squirrels and no sign of humans at all, except the cars in the parking lot.

My dream view would be water - ocean or lake or river. But then I remember all the bugs that come with that view, so maybe not. I'm quite happy with my current window view.

I saw a baby bunny hopping along the grass edging by the garden where we have our holly bushes.. it is about 100 yards out my kitchen bay window. I was so happy as normally besides the birds I watch the larger bunnies and squirrels play. I saw the baby and I was thrilled :)

Dream window would be in Ireland or Scotland overlooking the gorgeous Highlands of Scotland and the emerald Islands and cliffs of Ireland :)

My favorite window is a diamond shaped window at the top of the stairs on the third floor. It looks out over the river, at South Kamloops (we live on the |North Shore). At night the lights look so pretty and I love to see the clouds and mist in the sky. I stop and look for a moment every night when I go to bed and when I (often) get up at night to go the bathroom.

I wish I had a view high up in the hills, looking out over a river or lake, facing the setting sun.

I'm in the office and my desks faces forward and there is a window at the end of the aisle behind me. It's pretty big but 1. it's behind me so I can only see it if I stand up and turn around and 2. it only looks out to the roof of the lower level. booooooo :disagree

At home we have one of those bi-level homes so our basement/lower level has full size windows but it only looks out to our yard where the dog runs....not pretty so I never open the blinds anyway. :cry

Top level, I have a writing desk in my living room and it sits right up against the window. When I'm coloring in my coloring books or writing poetry I sit there and I love it!!! :fairydance

My view from my scrapping corner of the couch is of our backyard, out the triple window, french door and double window in our family room/kitchen. I like to watch the redbud and dogwood trees bloom this time of year, then leaf up for the summer. We have bunnies that run through the yard and squirrels that go along the fence and into the trees, so my dog and cat both love to sit and look out the windows as well.
At work we have blackout shades as we are editing photos and need less sunlight to distract from the screens. Occasionally we will open the shades to get a breeze and out view is of an alleyway and more buildings across the alley.

This picture is of my view from my scrapping corner of the couch:

I work from home and my office view is out of a bay window of our backyard and pool. It's a nice enough view but since I work on my computer all day, I mostly keep the blinds drawn since the outside light is too bright!

As I sit and work at my computer, I have a nice view of the tall trees at the park across the street. Since the window is higher on the wall, I don’t see the street traffic or pedestrians. It’s a perfect place to catch the weather but since the window faces west, I oftentimes, have to close it in the summer afternoons because of the glare. Added to this, we put a hummingbird feeder right outside the window so I have the company of the birds all year long.
I would take my daughter’s view any day. Her house is situated on a bluff overlooking Puget Sound and the view of the trees, water, mountains and sky is breathtaking!

I love our windows! That was one of the selling points for me when we moved. We're on the 7th floor and in an area where we're in the tallest building for a ways.

On our main floor, all of our windows face north and even though it's not a pretty view, I love it. Most of the time when you're not close to the window, all you see is sky. When you're close to the window, there is so much to look at. I love people watching and seeing activity. We can see the lights of Wrigley Field to the right and watch the L go by right in front. With the mini Target right there, there are always people coming and going.

My favorite view of all is if I go up to our penthouse on the roof. I love this view of downtown! This is the view from our windows up there. I would love to make that space into a reading nook with a big comfy chair but during the pandemic, it got turned into an exercise space and I don't see that changing... sigh.

In the living room there is a picture window. I have the couch sitting in front of it and Peyton loves to get on the back of it and look out. That is where she usually is when I come home from anywhere. I have cafe curtains and valences so the bottom part is covered and you can't see in but the top is open so the light comes in. The view out the window can be interesting during warmer weather. Lots of people walking on my street and on the street that runs perpendicular to mine (that is almost straight across from my driveway).

In the dining room/kitchen, there is a sliding door. Now that I have my patio with landscaping, I love looking out it. I do see other houses but the trees in the neighborhood are always interesting to look at especially when it is snowing or windy. The kitchen window over the sink is the same view.

In my office where I spend the most time, I have 2 windows. One on a west wall and the other on the north wall. Sitting at my computer, I can see out the top of the north window (again, cafe curtains with valence). I see tree tops. And in the sunset hours, I sometimes see interesting colors in the clouds. But the west window is interesting in the evening during sunset. Lots of gorgeous colors... too bad there are wires in any pictures taken!

The double window in our den/office looks out onto our driveway/front yard. This was our garage, but we closed it in. If I'm here alone, which I usually am, the blinds stay closed. I had a stranger that rang my bell and when I didn't answer, he stepped over and actually looked into my living room! I've never gotten past that. Even if Jay or Daniel is home, I still leave the blinds closed 95% of the time because it's usually afternoon/evening by the time they get home and I would be closing them anyway.

I love mountain views, so I think I would say that's my dream view, but I also love the beach. The beach comes with all that sand though, so it would have to be far enough away I wouldn't drag sand in my home on the daily.

my bedroom window (which is behind my computer) has a view of a railway track but as it is sunny (and too hot) on this side of the house most often when I am scrapping I tend to keep the curtains pulled
