Out Your Window | Pad Patter 3/21

At work the good news is I have a window (most in my office don't!), but the bad news is it looks at the corner of the building next door, where homeless people like to hang out and go behind the electrical box and use it as a bathroom (we have privacy tinting on the glass so they don't realize I can see it all).

At home in our bonus room I look out over our close and green space. Out the back is my favourite view, we have a hill and pond, and some walking paths.

At home, I don't really have a window I like to look out of... the front yard is a mess, the backyard is empty, and my house is close to my neighbors.

At work, I like my view. Our building is on a little hill and there's a row of trees outside. I have a tall skinny window.

My dream window would be a huge window, overlooking chairs on a deck and then a lake, and a sunset happening. That sounds divine.

That does sound divine!

Our home is under old growth Oak and Hickory. So nearly every window has a nice view of the woods. Our neigh-bors have a small farm with horses, chickens, and goats. From time to time, I can see the horses running out back.

I supposed both mine and Donalds dream view would have some sort of water in it - a River, Lake, large creek or large pond would do. I suppose a view of water is one thing we are missing.

I love our windows! That was one of the selling points for me when we moved. We're on the 7th floor and in an area where we're in the tallest building for a ways.

On our main floor, all of our windows face north and even though it's not a pretty view, I love it. Most of the time when you're not close to the window, all you see is sky. When you're close to the window, there is so much to look at. I love people watching and seeing activity. We can see the lights of Wrigley Field to the right and watch the L go by right in front. With the mini Target right there, there are always people coming and going.

My favorite view of all is if I go up to our penthouse on the roof. I love this view of downtown! This is the view from our windows up there. I would love to make that space into a reading nook with a big comfy chair but during the pandemic, it got turned into an exercise space and I don't see that changing... sigh.

YOu gotta take that exercise room back! What a gorgeous view of the skyline! I would take a view of the NYC skyline! My cousin has a great one and there's water since it's on the NJ side. :)

My favorite window is our kitchen.. it looks out into a green grassy field like thing.. best view... we use to have a wild turkey that hung out back there ..which was so odd cause it's rare here in our neck of the woods mostly in a neighboorhood... we named him gilbert..lol he happily gobbled along by our laundry room door entrance for about a year... and we would see him once in awhile hide in the bushes ... till one day sadly a neighbors dog made dinner out of him..that big fat wild turkey

Anyways.... I'd love a giant glass floor window over an ocean to see the fishes swimming or even a whale .. that would be my dream... crystal blue waters...

We used to have a huge family farm in the Catskills of NY. Two big windows on either side of the living room - one viewed down the mountain, and one viewed up the mountain. Gorgeous, especially on a stormy day, one side sunny, and the other threatening to storm. Very cool. My first interaction with a wild turkey was it chasing at me squeaking and me screaming running away. I was like 10. lol!

The double window in our den/office looks out onto our driveway/front yard. This was our garage, but we closed it in. If I'm here alone, which I usually am, the blinds stay closed. I had a stranger that rang my bell and when I didn't answer, he stepped over and actually looked into my living room! I've never gotten past that. Even if Jay or Daniel is home, I still leave the blinds closed 95% of the time because it's usually afternoon/evening by the time they get home and I would be closing them anyway.

I love mountain views, so I think I would say that's my dream view, but I also love the beach. The beach comes with all that sand though, so it would have to be far enough away I wouldn't drag sand in my home on the daily.

Uh, that's a little creepy! LOL! I'd leave the blinds closed too!

When my grandfather and uncle built homes on land they had in the Catskills... they had teeny ponds. They had someone come in to make it bigger and enlarge the 2 water area. The ponds grew a little over time, and I loved playing around them chasing frogs, lol! I would love to see the farm and animals myself. They are calming to me.

I can turn almost any way and I'm looking out a window. The window I seem to look out the most is my kitchen window (always doing those dishes or cooking - it seems!). I usually see my kids swinging, laying in the hammock and my chickens roaming the hillside.

At work I have a small office with a floor to ceiling window in the middle of one wall, but it only gives me a view of the corridor the other side of my office. I believe it was only installed to allow light into the room. I do often get a work college passing by that will pull silly faces.

All of the window in my home have beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, we live in the valleys to have mountains either side of the house.
