Out of the Country Travel: Pad Patter 2.11.16.

I'm actually leaving for a Caribbean cruise on Sunday! I can't wait to get out of New Jersey for a week! I've been to the Caribbean a handful of times before with my husband. I travelled more with my mom, aunt, and sister when I was younger though. I've been to Canada a few times and I've also been to Ireland, Scotland, England, France, Switzerland, and Italy. If I could afford it, I'd go somewhere every year! I have a long list of places I definitely want to see someday!

My last out of country was Canada, summer of 2014. I've never considered it international though, so I guess Mexico in 2011?

We are trying to plan a non North America trip to London, Paris and maybe a side trip to Scotland. But it's still a dream right now.

Mostly from cruising...so more like day trips, lol! Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, Mexico, Aruba, Roatan (Honduras), Curacao (Netherlands), Jamaica (full vacation), St. Martin, Cozumel....

We would love to plan a trip to England/Ireland/Scotland, and then I would love to visit Australia! But... a cruise is up next with family, I think! :) I'll take any vacation though! :giggle

You ladies have traveled to a lot of neat places! My Honey and I walked across the border at the border crossing into Nogales, Mexico for an afternoon while we were on our honeymoon 47 years ago. Spent a couple hours walking the streets and visiting the little shops. It was more of a thing so I could just say I'd been to Mexico. :) And in 2012 we did a road trip from Arizona up thru Utah, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Our kids in Washington lived about 15 miles from the Canadian border and I told them I wasn't going to come all that way up there and not visit Canada! So my son made arrangements for us to cross the border into what they call the "no man's land". It's just a few feet on each side of the border and we were allowed to stand there and take some photos. And I stood with one foot in each country. When my son was making the arrangements for us to step into Canada he told the border patrol agents that his mom wanted to do that and they laughed and said it's usually the kids who want to do that. I told him I'm a kid at heart. Anyway... Does that count as a trip to Canada??? LOL Whether it does or not, it was a highlight of our trip for me. :) And I'm afraid that's about all the world traveling we'll ever do.

I did a lot of world travel in my last job. This one I travel to the states a lot for work, which is def out of country for me but not what I'd call international exactly. Hubby and I try to visit the Carribean sometime during those cold cold Canadian winter months.

Hubby and I are die hard cruisers. We will be going on number twelve or is it thirteen soon. It will be a transatlantic from Florida to the Azores, and then heading towards Portugal, Spain, France, and England. I am just excited because we have almost earned free laundry on the ship! After fifteen that is one of the perks, and once that happens it will be so much easier and lighter to pack.

The last time we were out of the country was in Oftober on our Hawaiian cruise. One of the stops was in Mexico where we visited a winery.

I am hoping to visit fifty countries by the time I hit fifty. It's been a while since I added any new ones but in the next cruise I will add three. I have about seven years to go, so I think I might get there.

Last trip was in 2010 to the Gold Coast in Australia, previous to that was 2006 to Canada.

Once I'm done with school so probably 2018-20 I'll do more travelling. Would really love to explore Europe & USA.

Haven't been out of the country since we lived in Germany 5 years ago, but man did I love it! We traveled to Italy, France, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and of course in Germany. It was by far my favorite place we've lived. I'd love to retire there, actually. We're hoping to get back in the next few years.

As a kid we traveled all over the US, went to Canada and Mexico.

The only international travel I've done since being married is to China for our two adoption. We've been to Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu Province and Guangzhou. It's about a 24 hour trip when you include driving to the airport, flights, layovers, etc...

The last trip was back in 2014 and it looks like we'll probably be going again by the end of the year! Yes, we are adopting again! This time we'll be going to the Shandong Province. Hoping to take our middle child and also visit Beijing again. We'd love for her to see the Great Wall. She's the only one who hasn't been to China.

We fly out of Hong Kong and, while we only get a glimpse of it, t's a place I would love to go back and vacation in. It's gorgeous.

Ohhhh to be a world traveler :cloud9 :flirty.... alas all my world traveling is done by daydream at the moment. The last international travel I experienced was our honeymoon to St. Lucia many many moons ago. In high school I was blessed to travel to Italy and to Mexico several times. And I experienced Canada (B.C.) a few times when I went to university in the Pacific NW.

One day I hope to tackle my Travel Bucket List. :beat

I'm in Utah. I don't recommend visiting right now, but feel free when the air is better!

I went to Italy in Oct 2010. I wish I was still there! I did Rome, The Vatican, and Venice! It was a 15 hour flight from La to Newark then to Rome. Home was Venice to Germany to LA (I about died on this LONG flight) Yet we were on a German plane and they served us Booze and chocolate and we were not charged for it! If your going to fly, fly German LOL. Its the only time I have ever been out of the country other then Mexico as you also said..It doesn't count in my book either. If I don't have to use a passport it doesn't count. Ha Ha Ha!

We lived abroad for four years, the last two of which were in China. We returned from China in 2012 and spent two weeks in Canada on the way back. We then returned to the U.S., and I haven't left the country since. So I guess technically the last "foreign" country I have been to is Canada. But before 2012, we used to travel a lot. I've been all over the place, actually.
