Orange | Pad Patter 4.27.23

When you think of orange what do you think of? The navel oranges from our tree in the backyard of my childhood home. I can still taste them!

What is your favorite shade of orange? None? It's a color that makes me look like death when I wear it, so I just kind of ignore it exists. lol!

Being Dutch, orange is important. Lol. But no, it's true. The whole country turn orange a couple times a year. Kingsday, but also during major sports events. I'm not very patriotic, but I do feel this strange protectiveness about 'my' colour orange.

I made this page and let's note: it's the the right colour orange! The bright orange from the dessert, THAT's our national orange colour.

Orange makes me think of fall colors and pumpkins. :)

I don't wear much orange except in the fall/winter months.
I love fall colors so much; they were my wedding colors!

When you think of orange what do you think of? My daughter's travel softball team colors are navy & bright orange!

What is your favorite shade of orange? Orange is not my favorite color- and it doesn't look good on my skin tone at all- but If I had to choose a fave- probably the neon orange or a really subtle peach! ;)
Ooh a subtle peach is a very nice shade of orange. It must be subtle though.

When you think of orange what do you think of? Depends on the shade of orange and what I think of. Bright orange I love and is a refreshing, happy, cheerful color. I think of Florida, yummy fresh squeezed orange juice. Darker oranges remind me of my favorite season, Fall! It's a cozy color and I love all different shades of orange together because it reminds me of all the beautiful fall leaves we get here in Pennsylvania.

What is your favorite shade of orange? I like the bright oranges the best because they just cheer me up!
I would love to see the beautiful fall leaves you get in Pennsylvania. Yay for bright oranges cheering you up!

when I think of orange I think of my son. He has autism and he spent just over a year fixated on orange. Everything had to be orange. I'm so glad he out grew that, and moved onto a fixation with healthy eating. That is so much easier to live with and he has stuck with that fortunately.
My daughter fixated on the color black for awhile and got a black wardrobe for that birthday. I need a fixation on healthy eating!

The original carpet in our office (1980) was shades of orange with a tiny bit of brown. We even had orange phones that we rented from Ma Bell. Similar to this one, but the cords were bright orange to:

We finally replaced that carpet about five years ago when the sewer backed up into our office and flooded the floor ... gross!!!
I love that orange phone! So sorry the sewer backed up… yuck!

Orange is either well loved in my state or hated. We have a southern football rivalry between Clemson and University of SC. Clemson is orange/purple and USC is garent/black. Go garnet and black!
What I want to know is why orange and purple were ever paired together…garnet and black is a much better color combo!

I’m jealous you had an orange tree growing up!
